18/6/2008 07:43 | Article in the FT - | meanm
18/6/2008 07:43 | Ah, rumours being spread by the FT seems to be the problem... SP pretty much in freefall, now in auction at 6.75p. "London Scottish Bank inched higher in spite of talk it was gauging investor support for an equity fundraising at a massive discount to yesterday's price. Traders said the subprime lender may be looking to raise between £40m and £45m via a deeply discounted share issue. LSB, up 4.5 per cent to 8.36p, was valued at £11.9m. Last month it agreed an £85m credit facility with banks, which in return can force a sale or break-up of the group if it cannot fill a £14m regulatory capital shortfall before October 31." | davius
18/6/2008 07:42 | The MM's are f'ing about again. Buys outweigh sells, the volume is low and yet we have a fall of 16%. Go figure. I am starting to the get the impression the MM's do not wish for LSB to have a reasonable s.p., which in turn might effect their rights issue and, consequently, push the company into looking for a buyer. Or am I just paranoid. Either way, today is a great opportunity to buy and that is what most people have been doing. | meanm
18/6/2008 07:41 | Muesli does'nt taste as nice with tears in it!! | lawson27
18/6/2008 07:36 | 6.75-7p, I find this a tad concerning. Someone get the resusitation unit ready for cyclingnut when he shows up... | davius

17/6/2008 16:11 | DAV - good to see LSB keep in range, would be nice to see a spike as it getting near 30/06.... | grlz
17/6/2008 15:57 | Sorry, grlz, you are correct, the RNS is dated the 13th, I just assumed that from the share price collapse today it had been released this morning. 5-8 at the close but just 6 trades and 176K shares changed hands. 53.5p a week ago. Could be a technical recovery I suppose, but so few shares traded there can't be any serious short position that needs to be closed. Decent overall performance here today, closed at 8.26-8.45p, a rise of 0.36p. | davius
17/6/2008 15:23 | grlz, I tried to buy 50,000 but they weren't playing ball so I left it....good luck. | cyclingnut
17/6/2008 15:01 | DAV - Have they issued an RNS today, last I have is 13/06 - not traded on plus as far as I can see | grlz
17/6/2008 14:51 | GENC - thinly traded (nay virtually untraded!) AIM stock. 3 MMs setting the price, current spread 4.5-6p. Just 5 trades today (but haven't checked PLUS), share price down dramatically on todays RNS from a close yesterday of 15-18p. Market cap £1.32m. It looks like a HUGE gamble, I'm sticking with LSB, despite the poor share price performance during the last few days of buying. | davius
17/6/2008 14:01 | cyc - not a ramp, although I can see why you would suspect - no just a heads up as it's running the same as LSB was before it hit 5 imho (large sells below the spread and buys on order pitched lower) all imho/dyor etc | grlz
