Thanks AO, you are right of course. On the other hand, Logica is in so many markets all over the world and the time may be coming when the Company withdraws from some of the loss-makers

I think it has just too much competion these days and the company doesn't seem to be able to turn it around or move into new markets.

Clearly the market is not impressed by the results. For a company as large as Logica, its level of profitability is very low. We can but hope that Logica will find some really profitable contracts.

Even cheaper now it's fallen 5+!

This hasn't looked good since Sep last year. Glad I don't hold them but if things do improve later this year then they might be worth getting back into.

10 times earnings when interest rates at zero. That's cheap.

In view of the state of the world economy, I suppose that the results are not too bad. EPS and Dividend are slightly up but the rest is mediocre.

Although Logica (LOG) - the supplier of computer services to companies - has handsomely outperformed the FTSE 100 Index over a year with a 64% rise in contrast to the 23% increase in the FTSE Index, it was from a very low base and the company still significantly lags the index on a five year view. Whilst the stock market has risen 14.4% from its level of five years ago Logica shares are down almost 30% on their market value five years ago; a relative under performance 44.4%. Arguably, they have some ground to recover as business's start to spend again on the kind of corporate services provided by Logica.

A "little" upward momentum is the right word. It looks to me as though it is still trading in a downward direction since the end of September.

Without any news it won't be doing much at all and will resume in it's current trend. Which is a shame as I was quite enjoying the dip in and out every now then.

Keep watching, as if it does break out then you could see around a 20p rise..............................all speculation though!

Logica has been in the doldrums for so long and I suppose subscribers just dont expect the share to do anything dramatic. It is a bit like Standard Life; comments on the associated threads are few and far between.

Its nice to see today's rise in the share price Logica does seem to be doing well recently and have won a few useful contracts. We can but hope that this is the start of something big.
