05/1/2010 08:33 | I don't know, every time I think of buying back in this share it falls! Looking at the charts, it looks to me as though nothing has changed. So I'll waite and see. | a0502162
04/1/2010 18:40 | At least we have a reasonable start to the year. Who knows; Logica may surprise us all | selborne_edge
03/1/2010 20:44 | true, but any "news" is better than no news! | lyntwyn
03/1/2010 08:51 | As a 'takeover target' Logica is certainly cheap. However takeover-talk has been prevalent for years, so dont hold your breath. | selborne_edge
01/1/2010 10:10 | Tempus Ten 2010 The allure of Logica, the IT services provider, is twofold. First, it is the portfolio's explicit bet on takeover activity - specifically, that this will finally be the year that an Indian rival speeds its attempt to break into the European market by combining Logica's customer base with its own low-cost offshore capability. Second, a rebound in corporate IT spending is long overdue - and recession-induced pressure to cut costs through outsourcing or enhance productivity through new computer applications may provide the catalyst. | lyntwyn

15/12/2009 16:55 | I'll say this for LOG............it never fails to disapoint! | a0502162
15/12/2009 10:49 | Mike, If I was to choose one of the bio's then I would go for HML and I'll be looking out for news on the run up to Feb 2010 to see if approval has been granted. Thanks. | a0502162
14/12/2009 17:48 | .... and you invariably require the patience of a saint but the three I mention are all very interesting in the near term if I am not mistaken. | mike111d
14/12/2009 17:40 | Sel. How very true, no one likes loosing. Mike111d I've liked a couple of biotechs in the past and like you say not for the faint hearted. I tend to go for as certain a play as I can find rather than looking for the big one................. | a0502162
14/12/2009 17:18 | Having only been an interested party since the spring of this year, I probably see things a little differently. As long as they continue to execute well against the strategy introduced by AG then the share price should IMO continue to come good. If you are looking for a little more excitement and potential upside then I personally favour selective biotechs such as PYC, SAR and HML. Not for the faint of heart but if you are thorough in your research there are some real opportunities to be found there. | mike111d
14/12/2009 17:09 | AO - You are right to pick up on that point. It was marvellous when the share price rose but how painful when it dropped like a stone. | selborne_edge
14/12/2009 15:34 | I hope your talking about the begining of the dotcom boom not the end! I think that it's more to do with the recent fall than anything else. Like I said before, a nice little trade if you're careful. | a0502162
14/12/2009 14:24 | What can be the reason for the sudden rise in the share price; a 5% rise is just not Logica's way ! Remeniscent of the dotcom boom, Oh what happy days | selborne_edge
10/12/2009 13:22 | robwt Well if all that was true, it makes you look very silly forecasting the same share to go up? "130p here we come" I believe you were saying. By the way............"wait till the FT get holds of it"....your grammer is slipping old son................I think you meant "FT gets hold of it"!! You seem to be getting a little bit rattled! | a0502162
10/12/2009 12:51 | Yes, absolutely amazing, wait till the FT get holds of it. A0 forecast a share going down in a falling market, boy what a prediction. Amazing, we have witnessed a miracle. | robwt
09/12/2009 16:38 | robwt I rest my case................ | a0502162
30/11/2009 08:01 | Oooops .................... | a0502162
30/11/2009 08:01 | Thanks sel, how very true. rob..........I can't even be bothered to reply to you! | a0502162
29/11/2009 16:37 | Thanks very much AO - It always surprises me that subscribers to these threads make predictions on the movement of share prices, eg these shares will be at £3 by Friday. They of course look a little silly by the end of the week, when it doesn't happen. As we all know this is a market, totally illogical and controlled by many irrational human beings. I watched the Evan Davies programme the other week on Warren Buffet and it was interesting to to hear of the philosophy of the Sage of Omaha. (Did NOT have a computer on his desk) | selborne_edge
27/11/2009 15:40 | Thanks AO - I am very much a long-term investor and 'sell' when a share is high and 'buy' at the other end. I avoid risk whenever possible and with interest rates at the current level, find dividends very useful. With regard to 'pearls-of-wisdom'; there are a lot of very knowledgeable investors on these threads and at the risk of being patronising, I have found some of comments made by robwt very sound. | selborne_edge |
