SE, I agree with you, I think Q3 figure are ok and Andy Green's summing up seems to indicate that he is happy with the way the company is progressing. It is a foolish CEO who overplays his cards in times like these, so I am glad we didn't get any of the hubris extolled by previous management.

Andy Green was recruited from BT's IT arm and we now know that he left a huge bag of worms behind him. Logica has for years been saddled with a plethora of complacent management. When I learned of BT's woes I doubted that Green was ever the right man to head Logica, however I am prepared to give him the benefit of that doubt at this time even though I am still slightly sceptical.

Some good can come from recessions if management can realise that sustained growth is best achieved slowly by stealth and good housekeeping. Logica's downfall was created by a succession of rotten complacent management who decided for some madcap reason they could successfully achieve growth by buying up their supposed competition at super inflated prices.

Of course they all got rich off the back of us trusting shareholders but the company suffered years of bad results. If only, the ex failed Sweeney bit part actor Martin Reid and his cronies had possessed a tiny little bit of the acumen and wisdom of Warren Buffett.

The 3Q figures are encouraging and the market appears to like them. robwt could be right with his 130p prediction. Lets hope so.
