05/11/2013 10:43 | When I last spoke to Tom, the cost v current size of the Company was the negating factor against a US listing. That's not to say that it won't happen, just that it may happen later rather than sooner.spud | spud
05/11/2013 08:44 | The current accesso website and graphics look very dated. This could be the opportunity for a much needed overhaul. | goodapple
05/11/2013 08:38 | Yeah bring on that NASDAQ listing - will send the price into orbit! :-) :-) | itchycrack
05/11/2013 08:36 | Nasdaq listing soon ? | fft
05/11/2013 08:35 | What a silly new name, you know the saying, if it aint broke dont try to fix it | ghostofahangman
05/11/2013 08:33 | We are also witnessing the gradual Americanisation of the company. I would be surprised if it has a long term future on the London market. Yet again, an example of British technology being swallowed up by our American cousins. | orange1
05/11/2013 08:22 | Good point David, taken in that light the trading update promises to be positive | janeann
05/11/2013 08:19 | Well it certainly bodes well for the trading update on the same day as the name change. You would not do this at a point where negative background news is to be released IMO. I certainly get the feeling that the company are seeing a wider picture and more potential deals to acquire other operations in the leisure sector so they want a name that encompasses much more than just queuing. I think Tom pretty clearly spells it out really... " We believe that the new name clearly encapsulates what the Company aspires to be, and gives us greater flexibility to enter new markets, make future acquisitions and diversify our operations around the world." | davidosh
05/11/2013 08:01 | My take is that whilst the queuing business is still growing, the accesso arm is growing faster and is becoming more dominant. As Tom said some time ago, the acquisition could be truly transformable. I think that is now becoming evident.spud | spud
05/11/2013 07:25 | I'm not normally positive about name changes, but I can see good logic here - after all, LOQ's core business is all about "access" as TB's comments in the RNS emphasise. More interesting are his comments about the accesso acquisition surpassing expectations and transforming the business - and hinting at further acquisitions, new markets etc: "The acquisition of Accesso in 2012 was transformational to our business and the technology, operations and sales synergies from the acquisition are surpassing our original expectations. Rebranding under the Accesso banner creates a unifying umbrella brand for our products, and defines our core business well - helping theme parks and venues access technologies that optimise the guest experience and grow revenue. We believe that the new name clearly encapsulates what the Company aspires to be, and gives us greater flexibility to enter new markets, make future acquisitions and diversify our operations around the world."" | rivaldo
05/11/2013 07:19 | or a small T (and G - accesso Technology Group) to be consistent with the small a. Most odd. | janeann
05/11/2013 07:17 | Wonder why they've gone with lowercase. | robotface
05/11/2013 07:17 | Shame to see the name go, but I am sure the Tom knows what he is doing. | valustar1
05/11/2013 07:16 | "accesso Technology". They might have used a capital "A"? | bigbigdave
05/11/2013 07:12 | Well that's a mighty curious name change. Are LOQ stating that the queuing part of the business will in future be much lower growth than the rest of the business? | shanklin
04/11/2013 11:37 | Hi Glenn I remember you from the MAM threads years ago around the 20p mark. I don't normally ramp or spam on b boards but you asked for heads up on other investments, well I've got a cracker for you. QFI Quadrise fuels is being derisked as we speak and hopefully by mid 2014 could be going into production of MSAR fuel for Maersk along with several other oil majors contracts about to go into fruition. Well worth a look, let me know what you think. | oilyrag
31/10/2013 18:33 | I did take a few IDM @ 11.5p this pm but only managed to put the price up on myself. I've been trying to get some UNG @ 6p for some days but pulled my order off the table today. I shall re evaluate again tomorrow when they've both cooled off. spud | spud
31/10/2013 15:54 | Thanks Spud. You are welcome to enter your own top tens btw... | davidosh
31/10/2013 15:35 | Great portfolio summary David! spud | spud
31/10/2013 10:46 | LOQ is top of the Frightfest pile again...fifth year running. | davidosh |
