I'm glad that you recognise the audience are mainly chimps. It has taken you a while, but you got there eventually, didn't you! Well done. ;)

"time ??"

Notice the space between 'time' and '?' and the use of the word 'mate'. Tell tale signs of the idiot who uses multiple aliases. Now that is a waste of time! LOL

Not intended as advice Minnie, just my thoughts in response to Alphorn's post. Congratulations by the way on your success in building up your business, it must have been very satisfying.

"Was in them from privatisation through till late 90's, taking scrip divis on the way....didn't need to be very bright to see this opportunity Minnie lol."

Thanks for the heads-up on the the utility shares.

Sadly, I missed the opportunity to buy the privatised entities like you did and make use of the compounding scrips.

Silly me.

I see one analyst thought it would be up 30% . The end of the financial year 2017 was profit before tax 5.275 Billion. If that's the case it would be up 6.9 Billion before tax , if that's true it will be a great result. Fingers crossed, increase the dividend and start to see the share price getting back into the 60p + :)

Alphorn: re: UU I hope you are right and that their 1.57% increase in a weakish day is attributable to turmoil within the labour party and a receding threat of renationalisation. Was in them from privatisation through till late 90's, taking scrip divis on the way....didn't need to be very bright to see this opportunity Minnie lol. Maybe worth looking at again now though. Lost track of where the business is but the yield used to be good. They had expensive problems to sort including clean up of beaches and leaking pipes and maybe they were less attractive to predators compared to other utility companies since acquired. Potential downside is that still vulnerable to possible interference by the regulator....difficult to gauge.

Good news that Bernie Sanders will be standing for President. Trump's second term, already odds on, is now more or less assured.

These good figures do however conceal some signs that the growth in the labour market is stalling. The total number of hours worked across the whole economy fell slightly in the last quarter. There was also an increase in the rate of redundancies.

I never asked and nor do I want proof, I couldn't care less what words you type on here. You're a really sad case, that's all I know, certainly the saddest and oddest I've ever come across.
