28/1/2025 17:13 | Russian Victories Increase Pressure On Kupyansk Support SouthFront On January 28th, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed another victory of the Russian army. The village of Dvurechnaya in the Kupyansk direction came under the full Russian control. The first reports about Russian victory came from the battlefield the day before. The village is located on the western bank of the Oskol river. It was an important logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine north of Kupyansk because there is a large road junction in Dvurechnaya. Russian Defense Minister Alexander Belousov congratulated the command and personnel of the 25th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Sevastopol Red Banner Brigade named after Latvian Riflemen for successfully completing combat missions during the liberation of Dvurechnaya settlement. Russian control of Dvurechnaya increases Russian bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskol River and increases pressure on the Ukrainian garrison in Kupyansk. After their victory, Russian forces continue offensive operations advancing west and north. As a result of their recent attack, they advanced about 3 kilometers along the both banks of the local Nizhnyaya Dvurechnaya River, leaving the enemy no chance to hold defense along the natural obstacle. The Russian army is already approaching the village of Kutko At the same time, Russian forces continue attacks from their positions in the recently captured Zapadnoe located south of Dvurechnaya. Russian assault groups are moving towards Kupyansk, expanding their zone of control on its northern outskirts. Support SouthFront | stonedyou

28/1/2025 12:47 | Military operation in Ukraine28 Jan, 12:25 Russian troops score big win with liberation of Dvurechnaya — official According to Vitaly Ganchev, Dvurechnaya serves as a springboard for further advance in the Kupyansk District, in particular, towards Veliky Burluk and the Volchansky District MOSCOW, January 28. /TASS/. The settlement of Dvurechnaya in the Kharkov Region is the first big populated area on the right bank of the River Oskol to be liberated by Russian forces, Vitaly Ganchev, head of the regional military-civilian administration, told TASS. "Previously, only smaller settlements on the right bank of the Oskol had been liberated. Dvurechnaya, however, is quite a big settlement; it’s not like other villages on our troops’ path. Until 2020, Dvurechnaya was an independent administrative center. It serves as a springboard for further advance in the Kupyansk District, in particular, towards Veliky Burluk and the Volchansky District. That said, it will give our forces much more room to operate. For us, this is significant strategically, because the enemy used to control the high right bank of the Oskol," he said. Ganchev pointed out that "the shelling situation will now somewhat ease" for the people who live in villages along the line of contact on the left bank of the River Oskol. Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the liberation of Dvurechnaya in the Kharkov Region. | stonedyou
