11/6/2021 14:53 | Trade figures show just how wrong Project Fear really was Our exports to the European Union would collapse. There would be shortages of fresh vegetables at Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Factories would close as supply chains seized up, and we would be plunged into a deep recession. Rewind a couple of years, and "trade experts" of one sort or another were unanimous that leaving the single market would inflict catastrophic damage on the British economy. But hold on - trade data out on Friday shows that not only were those predictions wrong, but wrong on a scale that has seldom been witnessed before. No surprise. These ridiculous forecasts were brought to us by the same people as forecast it would be a catastrophe not to join the Euro. | grahamite2

11/6/2021 14:24 | K38 Likewise I do similar. Wont use that website and will go duckduckgo search for an alternate source. Plenty of substitutes out there for nearly all products.. | geckotheglorious
11/6/2021 13:53 | Mandy Neumann11 Jun 2021 12:45PMI hope GB News serves the truth well & I have been looking forward to its arrival. I am not keen on some of the people who will be a part of it & wouldn't give them any time before. It remains to be seen if bias starts creeping in but I will eagerly give it a fair chance.7LikeReplyJoh | xxxxxy
11/6/2021 13:35 | I found cookies very forcible and annoying so I walk away from the site. I always find another way to the news. Very sad, (another idiot manager) Southgate following the old formula with the national team.. my money is, they will be out on the next round. | k38
11/6/2021 13:18 | scruff, cookies are nothing to do with the EU. Even I won't try and blame them for that! But the little popup notices ARE an EU thing - and given the answer is fairly certain to be, yes, I'll accept the cookies because otherwise I can't look at the bloody website, they are totally pointless. As to that idiot Southgate, he's just a stupid man virtue signalling. | grahamite2
11/6/2021 13:09 | A new rail pass and vouchers for tourist attractions are part of a plan to return domestic tourism to pre-pandemic levels next year. The £10m voucher scheme will be launched by The National Lottery this autumn to encourage people to travel within the UK after the peak summer season. Players will have the chance to claim vouchers for tourist attractions in the UK between September this year and March 2022. The rail pass will be launched later this year and will be based on the BritRail pass, which is sold to international tourists and gives them flexible travel across the country, as well as discounted entry to attractions. | joestalin
11/6/2021 13:07 | Richard Tinder11 Jun 2021 1:00PM1. Imports from the EU will fall a lot further because of the EU's nastiness towards us.Instead of praising Oxford Astra Zeneca's efforts to get a cheap vaccine up and running in record time, the EU has done its best to force the price down (below cost) and to denigrate the company. The EU has made it plain they are going to try to make Brexit painful for us and weaponise the problems in Northern Ireland. As a result, many of us wish to boycott EU goods and services. This will cause their exports to fall.2.Furthermore, whilst the UK gave the EU exporters a grace period for 6 months when we left, we saw the EU pile on regulation and paperwork designed to make life unnecessarily difficult. The EU is about to get a taste of its own medicine. The grace period ends shortly, and the UK will be checking EU exporters paperwork. This too will cause EU exports to us to fall. 3.A third reason will be the competition arising from RoW suppliers, who we are now finding out about as the EU protectionist tariff wall has been removed. They make good stuff at prices the EU cannot compete with. The EU has brought this situation on itself and has only itself to blame.... Daily Telegraph | xxxxxy
11/6/2021 12:18 | If the lefty woke-ists aint having a fit, they are not doing the job properly. Here's hoping! | maxk
11/6/2021 12:13 | About foreign aids.. iIs nothing more than supporting mostly corrupt organisation and government and wars around the world. If you wand to give and help others, first take away the fortunes the dictators, corrupt organisation and billionaires have been stealing all this years from the people. | k38
11/6/2021 11:42 | sure grahamite2 ! Maggie was a supporter of apartheid In S.A and she is your role model ? So now you have found a new benefit from brexit , possible end of cookies popout as well as the blue passport under your pillow . YOU and your like must have a screw loose IMHO ! | arja
11/6/2021 11:37 | Agree Graham. :) | geckotheglorious
11/6/2021 11:30 | I think I agree Gecko, Brexit is the best thing to happen to this country since Mrs Thatcher. But I wish we could see some of the concrete benefits that are now available to us. For instance, an end to those damfool popups saying "this site uses cookies, do you approve" - a typical piece of idiotic EU job creation. | grahamite2
11/6/2021 11:19 | Arja How was your vaccine btw? Had it yet? | geckotheglorious
11/6/2021 11:18 | Arja doesnt understand that the UK is massively in debt. We cannot afford Foreign Aid when we cannot afford to sort our own homeless problems here at home. What happens in the world isnt our problem. The suty of the UK Govt is, first and foremost, to the British people. | geckotheglorious
11/6/2021 11:11 | guess what - yip , they were brexiteers as you would expect ! | arja
11/6/2021 11:10 | a few people in question time audience shaking their heads at a panel member being critical of reduction in foreign aid by the nasty party . Gue | arja
11/6/2021 10:32 | Utrick Well probably some truth in that but as the architect of Brexit he gets a pass in my view. The single best thing to happen to the UK since Margaret Thatchers tenure in No10. Psycho Post 341685 Unfair to stupid people in my view. :) Imbecilic more apt. Or perhaps Arja is simply a very incompetent troll... | geckotheglorious |
