Martin Hainsworth21 Mar 2021 3:37PMA). The biggest single mistake during Covid was even to mention Article 122. I doubt if any corporation had even heard of it let alone the fact that it gave the EU power to confiscate factories/businesses and sequestrate intellectual property. U vd L in merely threatening to invoke it has sowed massive seeds of doubt in the minds of future investors.B). Whilst you have covered QE, there was no mention of Target2. I wonder if the man on the Cologne omnibus has even heard of it let alone know that the Bundesbank is in the chair for one trillion euros of liabilities if the Med Bloc doesn't cough up. 13LikeReplyWhiteVan Man21 Mar 2021 3:54PM@Martin Hainsworth "if the Med Bloc doesn't cough up." You can have a modal class, of course, in a continuous distribution, but I do not see that in the previous exchanges as a cited statistic.

Have to agree with Merv with one caveat. Mode would unworkable with the Jocks.

Great to see Manure Utd kicked out of the FA cup.

Great Sunday it has been!

The mode is completely unworkable for household income which is why it isn’t used. You’re exposing your own ignorance I’m afraid! But not entirely unsurprising for someone educated at Pontypridd Poly! You’re out of your depth here again Minny because I have a strong academic background in maths and statistics and use it in my work every day.

When it comes to common affordability, which was the context of our original discussion, mode is the correct statistic.

I don’t care what you think. I’m right.

First return from Google:

Median household incomes provides a better measure of how people’s well-being has changed over time. The median household income is the income of what would be the middle person, if all individuals in the UK were sorted from poorest to richest. Median income provides a good indication of the standard of living of the “typical”; individual in terms of income.

I’m not wrong actually Minny. Median is absolutely the right statistical measure for data like this. It’s the ‘middle’ data point that’s the most important to measure average household income, not the mode which is the ‘most common’ data point. The mode can’t work because people don’t tend to have the exact same salary to be able to count the mode properly. If you don’t believe me check out the ONS who concur. So I’m afraid you’re the moron again there Minny. I’ll accept an apology though if you want to offer one.

You are being a bit hard on Minerve, I sometimes doubted his fortunes and called him out on issues quite a few times.

To be fair to Minerve, he knows what he is talking about, I tried to baffle him and he came back with the right answers. Only someone who had a lot of experience could have done that. I spent many years working for Logica Plc in a high flying job making the big bucks and have met many chancers, he isn't one.

I don't know his worth in money, but he is no slouch.
