Jullianne roberts20 Sep 2020 1:01PMTrump is an honourable man and the first leader in the west in many years who has  busted a gut to keep the promises on which he was elected, despite the relentless attacks on him from an opposition determined to get him out from before he was inaugurated, and who promised the rotten self-styled international community it would get him impeached... one way or another.

but we must balance the right wing bullish*t and propaganda also.

As for 'woke',anything that brings that nonsense to an end is good.
I read Charles Moore in the Telegraph, he was a former editor.

Some times he is infuriating, other times he talks good sense.
Not at his best when writing about ordinary people, he has no experience or understanding of them.

He firmly believes that there is traditional ruling class, an established order, people such as himself who are trained to lead and rule.

We should all know our place, 'the rich man in his castle, the poor man at his gate'.

John Davidson20 Sep 2020 11:45AMWinter Is ComingYes in the Winter respiratory diseases do increase.  This is nothing to worry about, it has happened every year for hundreds of thousands of years. The hospitals are empty and the field hospitals closed. To use this as some sort of justification for destroying people's businesses and every theatre, cinema and piece of culture in the country is completely insane.Nobody is being saved.  Nobody is at risk. This is all nonsense. It says much about the ungrounded world people's minds live in since the internet was invented.  Their mind is no longer related to the actual reality out there

IMO the Civil Service , quangos, the BBC and most other institutions running the country for the public good, Are stuffed full with Left wing idealists who are unable to see any other point of view other than their own, and are disgustingly dismissive of people that don’t conform to their way of thinking.

its time for change

"For the whole year, the FTSE 100 bank posted a pretax profit of GBP4.39 billion"I think that counts as a money making machine.

Carl Heneghan, Professor of Evidence Based Medicine and Director of the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine at Oxford University (pictured), and his colleague Dr Tom Jefferson, a Senior Associate Tutor, say prime minister Boris Johnson and his advisers are making 'catastrophic and wildly over-the-top' decisions about containing the coronavirus amid concerns about a second wave of infections and 'behave as if they are acting on the basis of certainty'.

Quite long but well worth reading if you have time.
