There’s nothing like a classic ‘despite Brexit’ story to round off the week with; not only have Toyota affirmed their commitment to continue manufacturing cars in their Derbyshire factory – despite warnings to the contrary during the EU referendum – they’ve now also announced they’re to shortly begin building a new hybrid car for Suzuki from their Burnaston plant, before being sold right across Europe. This follows Nissan’s decision to concentrate production in Sunderland…

Copy and paste into Google.

I recommend sitting down and having a large glass of Scotch before reading it. I find it helps.

Revision

Sorry this link doesn't work. I think the two x's in the address need to be replaced by two t's.

I found the article by going to "NewsNow Lloyds Bank" on Google Search.

The article is headed "Does Lloyds Bank share price have a chance of recovering."

I read that £11m plus was wasted on this failed app. Some of the contracts were probably awarded to companies that had yet to buy a laptop. No, that was boats wasn't it. ;))

1carus - very brave. IMO there is much dust still to clear. I have almost nothing in equities and balanced long/short.
After a longtime I have switched some forex positions to bullish sterling. A born again sterling guy. Huge gains on following sterling down - most of the time with no support from banks, my brokers or any poster!

Optimistic / realistic / pessimistic. Whichever, be lucky.

Alp, just trying to be optimistic, I'm a glass half full kinda guy. Just hoping most of the bad is priced in. If it gets worse before it gets better I have more cash to average down, but I have done a lot of that already and would rather keep some cash position.

BJ could not overrule the SAGE lot- though they may be in their dotage - he could not ignore the warning of many lives lost.
DC - I guess shot their ideas down - hence their SAGE disclosure that he should not be sitting. Fear of being challenged ?
I have never seen a media so intent on destruction. I have never realised that there are so many ppl who appear normal but now fear any human being coming near.
The future is ?
All pub jobs in Wales will be lost and most of the Greene K jobs also.
How to self destruct - and I guess - think you can stay in your job. CEO?
We are not USA - Their fight is their fight
This is already in tears - stop it or forget the future. Thought these CEO had bottle - wrong!

Grapey Grape 19 Jun 2020 4:40PM@raymond west Yes, wear a completely useless mask (as per an NHS study last September) and breath in your own germs and CO2, reduce your oxygen levels and risk your own immune system. You can keep your mask - they are of no use whatsoever, just a psychological ploy to get us all to behave like sheeples.

max #890. How much did all that cost? Dreadful, as I said yesterday 'not invented here' is very bad news for UK thinking.
One of my colleagues went to work on one of these big government projects - they spent millions. He said that they were a lot of loons.

Boris planned to outspend the socialists after the election.
They have gone crazy.

What would Corbyn mc Donald have done?

Nationalisation on the cheap all around.
A new world order

We dodged a bullet but Boris Johnson and his team (who I had no choice but to vote for) are worrying me.
Boris and his optimistic Churchill speeches, the latest being 'a World beating tracing app' are beginning to annoy because he does not deliver.

A difficult problem but not handled very well.

Hoping he gets Brexit deal right, if he does, all is forgiven.

I'm so bored with this thread I'm thinking of unfiltering Smartypants to at least have something to read.

Perhaps not on second thoughts. I'm not that desperate yet.
