Lineker can go and so can all the other glory boy former footballers like Shearer. Match of the day has probably got a very limited lifespan now anyway because you can view the high-lights of the match you are interested in on Youtube (Sky) hours before MotD and you don't need to stay up until the crack of dawn to watch it if you are interested.

Good afternoon! As trade talks continue with the rest of the world, much of the focus remains on the UK's ability to strike up deals with those outside of the continent. Whilst talks are ongoing with America, the United States ambassador to the UK has again put to bed fears that the NHS would be on the table in any future trade deal. Woody Johnson echoed President Trump's previous comments in which he said he wants 'nothing to do with it'. Johnson also took aim at those spreading fear over US food standards calling it 'mumbo jumbo'. In other news, the UK continues to show great promise in its exporting capabilities as a newly independent country as exports hit a record high amid huge demand outside the EU. According to the Office of National Statistics, goods exports were up 6.4 per cent to around £372billion as a 0.9 percent fall in sales to the EU was more than offset by a 13.6 per cent rise to the rest of the world. The Australian High Commissioner also brought positive news today, telling talkRADIO's Julia Hartley-Brewer that his government is 'full of optimism' in engaging with Britain in post-Brexit trade negotiations. He said that following Dominic Raab's visit last week, they were keen for the prospect of an 'ambitious and high value' free trade agreement. He praised Britain for being a country with a global view of the world and noted Britain's history of this. Following the news that Huawei will be providing some of the UK's 5G capabilities, Shanker Singham asks us to look back at the history of Huawei and ask how Britain and its allies allowed it to get to this point. He stresses the need to focus efforts on ensuring alternatives exist. Gabriel Makhlouf, a member of the European Central bank Governing Council, warned that consumers, businesses and regulators should expect more hurdles in any future economic relationship between the EU and the UK.For the latest news and developments throughout the day, please do follow @GlobalVision_UK on Twitter.
