02/2/2020 17:34 | In a league table of 272 regions of the EU, Scotland was rated higher than England when it came to quality of life – even though their weather is undeniably worse if you don't love drizzle and shivering. People living there had better education and a more tolerant attitude towards minorities, the study finds. Thats why i tolerate Jacko and you. | bargainbob
02/2/2020 17:27 | B4 u know it an entire nation will be resting on the laurels of previous generations, don't work like that bob. | utrickytrees

02/2/2020 17:10 | Utricky trees. You do not seem to be well read imho. Winston S. Churchill “Of all the small nations of this earth, perhaps only the ancient Greeks surpass the Scots in their contribution to mankind.” | bargainbob

02/2/2020 16:24 | So if I mention CPI and PFG losses I am telling the truth. But if I mention I have made great gains on Reynolds, Abbvie etc.. then I am a fraud. ROFLMAO! Oh, by-the-way, thinking of Abbvie, I made great gains on Eli Lilly too having bought into them shortly after their bad news RNS on Alzheimer's two or three years back. I don't tend to buy into pharmaceuticals anymore because the total industry return has fallen below (or close to) the cost of capital which means stock selection is even more pertinent and businesses are likely to overspend on biotechs in order to meet earnings projections. We can discuss REO, ROCE and WACC with respect to this if you Jacko, or Pierre, are interested. The thread can then judge who knows what they are talking about. :) | minerve 2
02/2/2020 16:09 | Jacko07 Whatever. When you can discuss stocks with me at my level then I might take you more seriously. You'll have to broaden your horizons a little further though because I am not interested in Lloyds or ITV and I use more than The Express for source information and data. LOL | minerve 2
02/2/2020 16:04 | James2 Feb 2020 3:21PMUnless the EU abandon their demands for our fish, alignment, the ECJ having the last word, and anything else they want to blackmail us with, we will have to leave without a deal. We have a massive trading deficit with them anyway, if they want to lose that, good luck. | xxxxxy
02/2/2020 15:49 | I would go so far to say that anyone who failed to sell out of Woodford's funds given that they read and contribute to ADVFN boards must be sub-cretinous. It was hardly hiding in plain sight - it was illuminated in hideous neon with nuclear-powered lasers. Sorry, M2, but that points at you. How do you expect to be taken seriously? | psychochopper
02/2/2020 15:18 | mitchy: I'm back in ! Raised my buy limit post Bank Of England rate decision. I'm comfortable at 56.5p (having sold out at 68.6p on 13/12 ) and will run my position up to the Finals on 20.02. Whatever the Corona situation ...market was due a 5 % correction. Not so LLoyds in my view at current share price level. If it falls back to 50p then I'll double my holding.'simples' !!... hopefully !!Bon chance mon ami . | wendsworth
02/2/2020 15:10 | Blimey, what's going on with the ITV threads, like a graveyard. Has everybody lost their bottle and sold out...lol | slater5
02/2/2020 15:02 | I am surprised anyone on this board put money with Neil Woodford, shows they have little knowledge of business and investing. I thought Woodford investors were just those lazy rookies or the very elderly and housewives. | robwt |
