We took part in the original listing of the then Mercury World Mining Trust and had the late Julian Baring round to give a talk. Changed times. BAe, IGLN, SPGP and RDSB provide some comfort now in these challenging times.

LADESIDE don't self harm, it's only money, let it go! ;~)
Top FTSE bosses paid typical worker's annual salary in just 33 hours
High Pay Centre figures should be ‘source of national shame’, say unions

I think it is impossible to do cost/benefit analysis on such huge projects with unknown lifetimes. Look at the London underground, I am sure the benefit has truly out-weighed the cost due to its extended life where most of the benefit is intangible like reduced surface congestion etc.. etc.. Naval ships and submarines always get life extensions as do nuclear power stations etc..

Brexiters need to realise that regardless of the wishes of Boris and themselves, everything is NOT OK, Remainers are not happy and there will be no coming together.

The country is split forever and Brexiters will learn, and need to learn, the consequences of their actions - for once in their miserable lives.

Speaking on behalf of the Connecting Britain campaign, which represents business and political leaders in the north, Sir Richard directly criticised Lord Berkeley: “We don’t much appreciate being told by a peer, who divides his time between London and Cornwall, what the North wants.” - FT

Absolutely.
