PO,he sounds like one on here.
I'm of the opinion that Brown n Blair new exactly what the positive implications for the left from opening up Academia. The number of Uni places should be halved at a stroke & Cambridge burnt to the ground.

Yes, agreed.

Something had to be done but I have little confidence the Trump administration does anything right.

If Trump and the US administration had honoured the agreement with the Iranians and respected international consensus in the first place we would not be finding ourselves at this point.

I too think the beeb is excellent value, just one or two classic series like Wolf Hall make it so for me.

I'd like some changes all the same. Perhaps a vote on the maximum disbursments any employee or one man and his dog actor can be paid. I'd limit that to 750kpa in exceptional circumstances. Any who don't like it can bog off.

My son joined the cs about 5 years ago. A PhD in maths got him into the ONS in Cardiff. Then a promotion to the insolvency service in Bristol where he is now.

From what i consider a well adjusted, free and intelligent thinking person on every issue, he always had good arguments to back up his views, which 75% of the time aligned with mine. Plenty of intelligent discussion.

Five years down the line, he's an ardent leftie. Fully Greta supporting, a full global warming advocate that it's all man's fault. Resists, just, the urge to say anyone who disagrees with him is stupid. When i forwarded to him academic papers from prestigious scientists about their concerns of climate alarmism, it got dismissed unread after the first sentence as the prestigious scientist being paid by the coal industry. I've never heard such a peurile response from him since he was a four year old.

The cs has ruined him as a person. Not sure whether he went along with the left view just to get promoted (or not sacked), but he seems brainwashed today. I don't mind him holding views different to mine, but i do object to his almost childlike defence of his views, and dismissal of others - the exact opposite of how he used to be.

Just as an aside, if he wants to actually go to work in his shared office, he has to ring up in advance. If all desks are taken as they frequntly are, then he has to work at home. Crazy or what.

Trying to maintain a balanced view IMO the US was bound to do something after the embassy attack (US soil in theory). There is some positives in that Iran's allies China and Russia have joined Europe in urging 'restraint'.
Back in the Iraq war days neither Russia nor China were in a position to act as any counterbalance. There was only one bully in the playground - the US, which is not a good situation.

Most of the 'oracles' on here are skint. They are not even middle class and yet look upon themselves as successful capitalists. LOL!

You have to give the Tories credit for making the chimp view himself in the mirror as the lion.

max - it is most unlikely that there will be a No Deal exit however way you want to look at it and dress it up.
If that, however, is your central opinion you would already have leveraged yourself to the hilt and shorted GBP. I am sure that you have not - so your hot air is ignored on this subject.

Very few posters on here match their mouth and money. This thread has long ceased to be an investment thread.

Time have changed M2 for the last 20 yrs it's the tory party who has been the voice of the working man. Labour only represent the bbc executives. They left a note at the treasury which read 'no money left hahaha' when Cameron & Clegg were elected, a more vile outfit could not be imagined.
Expect IDS to be instrumental in improving to lot of the country's most needy....with a tory twist of course.

EU human rights and employee rights protect the weakest in society. Those will all disappear if Boris, Cummings et al have their way.

I hope you have more than a couple of tenners under the pillow, you chimp. ;)
