martinu, hopefully the impending impact of the PPI claims is the main contributor re the current drop in share price and I'm pretty sure the value of the £ isn't helping with LLOYs.

As for your political comments, imo the ONLY positive way forward would be with a walk over win for the Brexit party in a GE, which with our First Past the Post Electoral system could never happen.

I've no time for Corbyn's Marxist lot, it's old hat that's been tried and failed so many times in the past, both here and abroad. I've also no faith in the Tory rabble or the Libdums, so my current plan is to keep hold of the Dividend payers and hope nothing pleasant happens to our useless politicians :)

All these people buying and selling Lloyds....anyone executed any DCF analysis?

If you haven't how do you know whether the Lloyds share is expensive or cheap?

Oh dear.

I guess I should be happy as it makes my job much easier. LOL

gbh - unfortunately for me, you may be right. Labour need Brexit out of the way before any election but the numbers are stacking up against us. For me, I can't stand the likes of Rees-Mogg and I don't trust Boris?

Looking at TW. , it seemed like the markets were in a bit of a quandary, but looking at Lloy gives a different impression. Perhaps just building in an even bigger than forecast PPI hit. I would have thought the share buyback suspension would have offset quite a bit of this. And of course protect the ordinary dividend. We shall find out on Thursday.

Government payroll

141 OF 314 CONSERVATIVE MPS

The largest tribe within the parliamentary Conservative party. These MPs either hold ministerial office, or are appointed to official positions within the party.

They must toe the government and party line or face the sack due to the requirement to adhere to collective responsibility. Within the government this includes ministers and parliamentary private secretaries. Within the party this includes the chairman, deputy and vice chairs.

Doesn't exactly help MP discretion does it? And the chimps keep on going on about democracy and the democratic vote. Don't make me laugh.

Lib/Labour coalition hopefully and then revoke Article 50. People are tired of Brexit and most realise it isn't going to work. Hopefully common sense prevails. I'm sure the UK government/EU could do something about swapping out the useless MEPS.

Will start buying small amounts of Lloyd at 47ish for long term. Certainly Remainers and MOMENTUM will be corrosive and destructive for the British economy. General Election is imperative. QUISLINGS and BAD MPs are irresponsible at best. Probably traitors really.

Yes had the misfortune of listening to several BBC radio stations as I drove to see relatives over the weekend. All consistently pushing the need for a Peoples Vote rather than a GE. All peddling Remainer lies...

Yes I was station hopping!!!

Bank shareholders better hope Tories win, when election called later today. Corbyn probably bring in a banking tax.
