"The City should be under no illusion, European regulators and even more so European politicians, will not find it acceptable to have the centre for European finance outside the purview of European regulation"

I've decided to go out tomorrow. When I made the decision I didn't know whether the forecast was for good weather, normal weather or bad weather. Whatever it is it won't stop me going out though, just wear appropriate clothing.
Blair has no credibility....deluded.

"If the people are to be trusted with the decision to leave before we know the terms of exit, why once we have that knowledge are they now suddenly disqualified and seemingly incapable of making the decision on whether the terms of exit meet their approval?"

“the dire quality of other MP’s does not fill me will much hope”

Which is why we need a snap election – we need to change them. Call it a “peoples vote” if you like. The majority of our current MPs have proved to be either biddable, incompetent or disloyal to their voters and their country.

SNP LEADER and Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was caught off guard after an important question from BBC presenter Andrew Marr concerning an independence referendum for Scotland.Andrew Marr took SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon by surprise with a crucial question on an independence referendum for Scotland. The BBC presenter pointed out the "inevitability" of a Scottish independence referendum taking place after Brexit, meaning voters could be choosing to stay outside both the EU and British market. Mr Marr remarked: "It now does look inevitable that any Scottish independence referendum would happen after we have left the EU. Therefore Scottish voters will be staying outside the EU but also outside the British market, which is quite a big ask."

The lack of suspicious evidence in itself is an indicator of wrongdoing.

What next for Democ-rats ?? Are they going to lose the next election too ?? You bet, lolAttorney General William Barr has released a summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's much-anticipated report, finding no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016.After two years of investigation, Mueller's report "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities,"

Talk of Nicky Morgan, a remainer, as a leadership contender when May's gone. Unbelievable, the Tories just don't learn. There's no point in having a remainer 'to unite the party' on Brexit as it is mission impossible. Tried that with May and look where it has got us. To make a mistake once is unlucky, to make the same mistake again is incompetent.

During the independence vote in Scotland there was vitriol on both sides.on tv the crowds for independence were clearly bigger than those for remain... for all intent and purposes it was a done deal. It seems just because there are seemingly large numbers supporting a propersition it is meaningless unless the numbers are approaching 50% of the total. It is the silent majority in both referendums that hold the sway of the outcomes, not the people who have the loudest voices or the passion to stand and protest.

This from Aaron Bastani of all people.

ComRes poll today:

• Remain in EU (abandon Brexit) 35%
• Leave the EU (by various means) 50%

Leave options take a net 15% lead. Biggest in a decade.
