John RedwoodJames Dyson is right to warn of the damage higher taxes will do to enterprise and growth.

Never had you figured for a Goth M2. Were the fish and chips free or summat?

Went over to Whitby on Sunday for the 3 day Goth weekend, it was very good, dog had a good run and swim at Sandsend, then over for fish and chips at Trenches, some great costumes and not too busy on the roads.

I think the buyback is still only 90ish complete?

No, im suggesting come end of this week the buy back will be complete, trading volumes will then halve in theory.... leaving and causing a directional share price issue maybe.

I’m not sure I want to continue holding an income share that now has a very specific risk attached to it - whether its overblown or not. Unsure whether to just shift the money - its not a very exciting yield at this level for new buyers who might make the price recover.

Why does it seem more of the buys are plot buys? From the published real time data about trades it's impossible to see which is a buy and which a se!!, Let alone who's making those trades. After the event we may see how many plot bought in an rns

Quincy Jones dies at 91.......look forward to mr.elbee's post on this irreplaceable sound track legend!

PM to increase Border Security by spending another 150m. Plus, 75m on smashing gangs! Will he get rid of the gangs, puncture balloon boats and spend the 150m on luxury cross channel ferries for the illegals?

squire007, are you suggesting that the shares being bought back are only cancelling the new shares Lloyds issue every year for share awards?

My point was trying to emphasise that even today it would seem almost all the buys are Lloyds mopping up their own shares... then what ??

Govts are good at 'creating' teams M2 and appointing mates to head them up (the ubiquitous Tsars)and paying them lots of dosh from the tax pot. Its another step towards everyone being employed by the 'Party'. Not so good at producing owt constructive.

No, they are cancelled.

.... doesn't mean there can't be a Rights Issue in the future for whatever reason though.

Apparently Buffet is £350bn cash - the highest in the funds history. Reeves has put the UK in deeper debt than its ever been. Looking good for ISAs and biscuit tins - not so the LSE. Keep yer hands on yer ha'pennies is my advice.

Doesnt it depend on whether Two Tier likes Brand or not rather than the law as to whether he will be charged? Tricky will be hoping he does cos hes his YT idol.

Q: the 2 billion buy back is nearing completion so what do people think will happen when it finishes? Its seems they have done the massive bulk of the buys for months .... :-0
