09/7/2024 07:55 | I could set up one side of the greenhouse scruff, £200 a week for one refugee would be more productive than my toms. | mikemichael2
09/7/2024 07:52 | Everything would be just dandy but for the weather | aceuk
09/7/2024 07:51 | Not just cheap tellies, free tellies you can go into the mud huts of Ethiopia & Somalia and the walls are adorned with 60" plasmas with dolby surround sound, governments have space programmes to launch TV satellites & the kids are emaciated but watching CBBC! | utrickytrees
09/7/2024 07:41 | Interesting that the less people watch the main tv channels or read the newspapers the more biased they bocome I presume in an attempt to attract more than inform. In which case the beeb definitely needs defunding. Its taken less than a week for Labour to start showing its true colours. Anneliese Dodds for goodness sake. Patrick Vallance for goodness sake. Timpson in charge of prisons for goodness sake. Talk of the tax super bomb being readied for launch. Only another 4 years 361 days to go. M2 Me exactly the same. Loads o peas and broadbeans. Toms have set but not really growing in size same with cucumbers. If farms are being affected like my plots the food prices will be going up. Ive heard Rachel Reeves has earmarked your allotment for the building of a hotel for illegals | scruff1
09/7/2024 07:26 | Everything will be fine UNTIL the Autumn Budget. Then we will find out what kind of hosing taxpayers face. | geckotheglorious
09/7/2024 07:24 | Utrick Why do you think tellies are so cheap, and every home has at least one, possible two or three? :) | geckotheglorious
09/7/2024 07:21 | Barclays history of successes with labour governments is NOT good. | mr.elbee
09/7/2024 06:36 | Public broadcasting isn't just biased its actually sinister & laced with propaganda. We have a situation much like the two political parties where C4 (department for culture media & sport) air's extreme leftist news which allow the BBC to broadcast slightly less extreme leftist views with credibility. Like a peadophile with a bag of tempting sweets the BBC uses its top quality programmes to lure viewers to its political content. Your being groomed. | utrickytrees
09/7/2024 01:28 | Missed the AI surge? All you never wanted to know about the AI hype but were afraid to ask...another brilliant take by Sasha. | jordaggy
08/7/2024 23:46 | The main remit of the beeb is to inculcate the UK population. I haven't watched the BBC since 2007. Yes they make the odd good program like Shaun the sheep, but that's about it. | jordaggy
08/7/2024 21:48 | Not much I can disagree with there GNR except one. The BBC's greatest attribute and which gave it world wide acclaim was its impartiality in news reporting worldwide. Thats gone. Certainly at home (I cant really speak about anywhere else). They are now so woke its depressing and I resent being forced to pay for it. Dont blame Farage or anyone else not employed by the BBC blame Tim Davie and the board of control. If they treasure all their activities as much as you and many others do then its up to them to show the proper regard to their paymasters. If it was up to me I would give them a simple ultimatum - impartial or you are gone - your decision. | scruff1
08/7/2024 21:26 | BBC news and editorial are clearly biased and need to be properly castigated! But the BBC's technical prowess is second to none in broadcasting, sound reproduction, production in all genres, original comedy, documentaries, wildlife photography, Terrestrial Sky at night studies, Custodians of the best orchestras, Open University, Parliamentary affairs coverage, televised opera, ballet, cultural minority interests etc. etc. Farage is taking a popgun, one dimensional shot at them for opinionated spin in reporting any political encounter. He certainly has my backing in this aspect only! Using the licence fee as a battering ram by other broadcasters to get rid of the yardstick calibrated by a very excellent British institution should be condemned, much like Labour getting rid of grammar schools, assisted places and now 20% on the best education money can buy, to lower the bar! | gotnorolex
08/7/2024 21:06 | The insidious growth of sectarianism has or will destroy Thank u tony bliar look for the article on dt | jl5006
08/7/2024 20:29 | He is a tenacious character I'll give you that, he could be of some use in the back benches forming policies the populace would vote for next time round. It's clear however he let Labour in through the back door with less votes than Corbyn got when he was thoroughly beaten by Golden Boy! The Reform manifesto was clearly rubbish and impossible to implement if by some miracle they were invited to form a government. Politics is the art of the possible, which means comprise. Farage's ego cannot cope with descent, believing that seeing the other persons point of view would weaken his resolve! He has a non British dislikeable way of othering society! That's why he couldn't get a seat in a middleclass constituency! | gotnorolex
08/7/2024 19:23 | That's not going to happen is it, too many vested interests in the Tory party, effectively they would be raising the white flag. | utrickytrees
08/7/2024 19:00 | "Barclays’ attempt to quash key car finance ‘mis-selling&r ... "However, Barclays has sought to push back against the ombudsman by mounting a legal challenge." ... "If Barclays succeeds in its application for judicial review, the ruling could potentially throw a spanner in FCA’s investigation." ... In its original court application filed in early April, Barclays said the court should quash the ombudsman’s decision. This is on the basis that there was a “real divergence” between the agency’s stance on complaints and those of the courts, where the ombudsman has lost a succession of cases. A Barclays spokesman said: “We do not agree with the Financial Ombudsman Service’s decision in this case and are therefore challenging it." " | pj84
08/7/2024 18:59 | We have a two party system effectively. So why does he not sign on and take his chances for leadership? | gotnorolex
08/7/2024 18:53 | Eer think Sunak managed that without any help from Farage. 99% of Reform voters wouldn't have wasted the shoe leather going to the ballot box had Farage not stood. | utrickytrees
08/7/2024 18:45 | "The yanks are coming Home" | institutional investments
08/7/2024 18:44 | Farage's greatest post BREXIT achievement was to deliver a victory for Starmer! Thereby cancelling the very same reason he got us out of Europe! (immigration & fishing) French waving through illegals with a sea lane map, gale warnings & visibility synopsis! EU's fishing rights in our waters not changed much, now fully licenced! What will this Blighter do next? Heckle anyone behind the dispatch box? Kick up a rumpus over military aid to Ukraine? Hail Putin as the new role model for Western leadership? | gotnorolex
08/7/2024 18:41 | Minerve probably got lucky. Got a life and left advfn | institutional investments |
