Verbatim from changes to car insurance from Ombudsman
"The changes will mean that when existing home and private motor insurance customers renew their insurance policy, the price charged by the insurance provider cannot be more expensive than the price that they charge to an equivalent new customer for the equivalent policy!"

But there IS competition... if you go online I got 38 quotes at last year's rates online[after having been offered a tripling of my premium by the broker]... but if you stay with the big companies through a broker,as the elderlies do, you are stuffed.

Discrimination again..against the non digitals.
so the whole thing is a scam

if 38 companies can offer decent rates ..well no more to say.

All in favour of responsible conservatism. Let me know when you see/hear of any. Conservatism of any kind is very rare these last few decades.

Profits are good if made through effencies, innovation or productivity! Making a killing at the cost of the captive customer's wellbeing is despicable!
What good does it do to impoverish a section of society to better the lives of those who already have much in the form of education, inheritance or chance! A lopsided society is a miserable one! To him that hath, shall be given more is sadly true and sows seeds of discontent!
Here endeth the lesson! Sorry guys, though I'm the black sheep of the family, I hold these truths to be desirable in a fair prosperous society!
Vote for responsible conservatism!

Police not investigating car thefts! No container checks at ports on stolen car exports! Gigantic pay-outs for phantom whiplash! Pothole damage claims gone through the shock-absorbers!... Premiums through the roof! No claims bonusses through the floor! Money down the drain! Profits in the clover!
Rip-off Britannia!

only that they can get away with it because the regulator says the markets are competitive and there is no need for them to intervene.
another blow for the tories.
