I am in no way a Trump fan.

Yesterday's conference gave me the impression that something was happening and that the US 'machinery' was moving quickly. This is what they do well and they can move very quickly indeed. It was not a defensive conference trying to play down or explain away the latest economic outlooks.
It was a very inclusive presentation bringing in many many companies by name.
The WHO move was an opening negotiation - it needs a very heavy overhaul as do the other organisations (eg the only supporters of WTO are resident posters here). The only country that could trigger reform is the US as the way they are set up.

It was a very US style 'delivery'.

"All his many golf courses and hotels must be shut down
Probably costing him a fortune"

A very good point. In his case way too many conflicts of interest.

My Costain holding is up 40% today.

Minerve needs no disability allowance. His investment experience knows how to work problems - Buffett style.

Liquidity boys, all about liquidity. Minerve always keeps liquidity in cash, short-term gilts and treasuries and preferred stock.

Yee ha!

Crisis would have been managed so much better by Labour?
Welsh Government sent 13,000 letters, meant for people most vulnerable to
coronavirus, to wrong address.

Poikka

The head of the WHO is not a politician. His objective is to improve health standards and that sometimes means you have to put ideology and other issues to one side - like Trump should be doing. It is the difference between being an intelligent statesman and being a bozo.

real shame our pathetic excuse of a government doesnt have half the backbone of Trump , they are a disgrace !! No plan, no communication, no closure of Borders , manipulating figures, the list goes on and on, and you know the really worrying bit ? this Government is the BEST we have, can you imagine Labour in this position ?

max 517 - just as well that there are other pharmas and start-up pharmas, including in this country, that are spoiling any chance of that theory happening - if it actually exists.

Good for Trump for calling out the WHO DG, who, apart from failing to warn of the pandemic, actually supported China's policy of re-opening wet markets, ffs!

Just hope that the WHO ditches their DG and his cronies, and then maybe US funding might continue.

Smartypans.. you have the name but not the brain. I don't hear you buying just under 28p and selling at 33.5 .... let us know when you buy and sell. I bet is going to be a lot of fun. This is the time when a buy and sell trades are making their money. A lot of ups and downs.. and lot of bus stops before we see the old price. ( The long holders have nothing to fear and no risks like the day traders )
