I don't see how or should the government 'bail out' all these thousands and thousands of small and large businesses who are going to run out of money very quickly. There are many very large businesses that have screwed us for years and syphoning off millions with large running debts now grovelling for a bail out !!

Branson should flog off his Island and stack of houses around the world, and he's just one.

741I agree. We are going to see the results of their projections. And if those people can be trusted. Or are they like recent poll projections. Basically misleading. Similar people doing projections of regarding Climate Change. Soon we will see. If they are wrong. It must not be Forgotten or Forgiven. Bottom line statistic at the moment is a few dozen people died out of 60 million. And seemingly a strong connection to Italy and Spain. 168000 died in early 2018 caused by the Beast from the East. ( unchecked figure). Death is always with us.

Half a statementBy JOHNREDWOOD | Published: MARCH 17, 2020Yesterday the Health Secretary explained the government's approach to the virus, going a long way to cut contacts between people to slow or prevent contagion. The measures mean the effective closure of a huge part of our economy in sport, leisure, culture, hospitality and transport. There was no complementary statement from the Chancellor explaining how they will help the many businesses that will struggle as a result. Cash flow dries up with no customers. Many employees will be made redundant, and many businesses will fold.We need the government to help, to prevent large scale loss of good businesses which will result from this policy. Individuals losing their job or their self employed work will need Income support. I asked about the scheme in yesterday's blog in the Commons and got various MPs to voice the need for some such relief.

Now here is an interesting conspiracy theory if you want:
Impact of coronavirus on stock exchanges worldwide, within 1 month:

🇺🇸 -26%
🇬🇧 -26%
🇨🇦 -25%
🇧🇷 -27%
🇷🇺 -20%
🇦🇪 -19%
🇿🇦 -16%
🇦🇺 -24%
🇮🇳 -14%
🇸🇬 -17%
🇭🇰 -12%
🇰🇷 - 17%

Now, look at this:

🇨🇳 (China) + 0,3%

China, creator of the pandemic, has miraculously "recovered", has almost no more cases of coronavirus. The world is now beginning to feel the effects and panic about the disease. Who recovered first ?? China itself! It seems to be that this virus was a move by the Chinese government in response to the loss of the trade war with the United States. The goal: to throw the world into recession !!!
Is the scenario not clear? They are already growing! China bought almost everything it devalued on the stock exchanges around the world ... with that the Chinese became owners of the global companies that are in China and without the money leaving China.

How low will the FTSE 100 go

That is the question, meantime read this

Covid-19 won't be the last coronavirus , there will be more to follow

This current run through will be a lessons learnt for the NHS , and other Health Services as well as governments and the WHO.

Infections of Hospital staff and contamination of beds/wards and Hospital premises by infected patients will be a problem that needs to be addressed as will GP's and their surgeries and staff.

As the Broadband roll out continues, one can see a Personal Health Home Terminal coming , IMO the new Health secretary has one in mind as I key.

A PHHT , which will connect and identify the caller by a finger print and retina scan.

This will also be able to take pulse and temp and blood pressure readings

Later versions will also be able to carry out several blood tests

The AI software on the PHHT will guide the caller through a number of questions to arrive at the problem of what is wrong with the caller and if further action is required.

This will take the form of a visit by area mobile health technicians.

Patients will ONLY be taken to Hospitals for admission after the AI PHHT , a medical version of Amazons Alexa if you will , has screened the caller.

The days of A&E drop ins and GP's and their surgeries are IMO numbered.

The days of further pandemics are to come.

Change is needed

PHET's , personal home education terminals to soon follow

Traditional teachers to end , schools and universities to drop in number as AI takes over

Owencoffin, just read the link. I'm sure what I speak of was much earlier in the 70's and I seem to remember one of the doctors name was Frost or Foster something like that. Was a long time ago I saw the programme.

Alphorn, I saw it on a TV documentary a long time ago in the 70's. That's all I can tell you apart from it was thought a bug couldnt live in the stomach because of acid, they claimed that was wrong, kill the bug and you cured the problem. Some were ok after 3 weeks treatment and eating curry.

Ventilators are support life for limited time in case you are effected by Coronavirus but overall make no difference. Most who are need ventilators are dying in the end...
A nurse from the hospital said "I see no one who was on ventilator to service so far"

This is my understanding from a Italian hospital report tonight at channel 4

Scientists and their assumption.

These scary numbers assume an exponential growth.
They are assuming a doubling of fatalities every week.

After 14 weeks assuming 20 deaths to start with,

deaths = 20 x 2 E14
deaths = 20 x 16,384 = 327,680

seems simple minded, too early to apply compounding.
oldest and weakest will die first.
no seasonal effects.

We shall see, they can waffle about climate change, but this time they will be fond out quickly if wrong.
Let us hope these Imperial scientists are wrong.
