Good of you to drop in Neo!

I thought you would be too busy researching for your upcoming weekly review?

It's an interesting proposition but I'm not sure it's true that a player won't shine in a bad team.

Forwards, starved of service, will certainly struggle but there is nothing to stop midfielders, backs and goallies looking good?

It has often occured to me that football isn't a game that any one person can control. Given this I find it difficult to understand what makes a good footballer, no one player can shine if the team is poor. If a good player isn't given the opportunities by his team mates then no matter how gifted he is he won't shine, so how come some are revered like Gods and some are spurned when much of the reason for their performance is out of their control?

As you can see, I'm hardly a footy follower.

Regards.

Hamman doesn't get mentioned much these days but I suspect his days are numbered.

He has done a good job for us but not a great one. Now that Gerrard has improved as much as he has in his positional play, I'm not sure we need him now.

A quality centre back to go with Hyppia would be a must though if both central midfielders are to be given licence to get forward.

I thought Hargreaves looked pretty good for England in the last game. I wouldn't say no to him, Mexes (quality), Wright-Phillips (energy and pace) or Barton (scouser who will die for the shirt)

I'd give Finnan another season though. He's had some poor games but done enough to get another go.

abix,

Liverpool signings (forecast):

Cisse: to be confirmed
O Hargreaves: to be considered
Mexes: Not too sure!!
S Wright-philips: Possible, but would he play him on the right???
J Barton: Have not seen him play!

LEAVING(over GH's body): BISCAN, Finnan, Smicer, Diao. (i live in hope)

MU fans to forget to wave on ur way dooowwwwn.

Stew

Why not?

We've just turned down £75m for nothing.

:-)

Fungus is running scared. If he had any confidence in the rag bag he's cobbld together do you think he's be so desperate to 'admire' his greatest rivals captain?

He knows that without a Keane replacement he's sailing in deep poo.

Long may that rusty tub remain in it.

He's not scared of making huge bids. I wonder if the 'Pool board would reject 40M for Gerrard?

What are you looking for? Say, 40 league goals between the two? ;-)

I think the respective managers would be rather more keen to take each others players than the fans seem to be!

mmm so you got these two strikers standing on the halfway line waiting for Gerrard to launch one into the other half so they can run after it ...

Sounds great abix ;-))) no really !! LOLOLOL !!!!

I'd rather have two strikers full of goals than two strikers full of colds.

So what pool need is two strikers both running into space ???

So you are planning a sophisticated hoof it up front approach then ?

mmm i am overwhelmed by pool`s brilliance this season ;-0

As i said earlier , Houlolier has spent over £100M and there are still only 2 i would take to Utd , and he inherited them .
Still it will provide the light relief next year as this ;-))

Snowy

You don't need to see it for it to happen. You didn't see Gerrard coming on like he has nor did you see Liverpool outscoring your lot in the second half of the season.

Just read my posts. They'll give you a clue what's going on as you obviously don't have one yourself.

;-)
