lol V - funnily enough i'm of to Amsterdamage next weekend with the misses, she said something about the tulips at this time of year, she's bonkers on gardening

I'd hate for us to take a wrong turn and get lost down those side streets, ;)

still have a few friends from when i lived there back in '90. Fond memories (if a little hazy)...loll

I'm sure it's happened but a young keeper on his debut is likely to be trying his heart out whatever the result.

I just think if there is a young keeper who cares about the club and has demonstrated the bottle to perform on a big stage and has talent should be bought quickly.

The more 'loyal' players you have at the club the more determined the overall squad becomes.

Give me passionate tryers over stars anyday.

Rookie Southampton hero goalkeeper Alan Blayney helped Liverpool into the Champions League with a fantastic display against Newcastle, and has now admitted he is a big Red.
Blayney, who hails from Belfast, was only told 40 minutes before the Newcastle game that he was playing due to an illness to Finnish international Antti Niemi.

Blayney said he was more than happy to help his beloved Liverpool into the Champions League and enjoy the experience of playing for the Southampton first team in a Premiership match.

Blayney said: "I was always a Liverpool fan and it is a big bonus to think I've helped them get a Champions League place."

On the save from Alan Shearer which was described by former Saints boss Lawrie McMenemy as Gordon Banks like from Pele in 1970, the keeper added: "I couldn't believe I had saved it really. I saw the ball come across the six-yard box and he (Shearer) headed it down into the ground. I just spread myself and hoped it would hit me.

"It did and it went over the bar. Afterwards, as I lay on the ground with the blood pumping and the fans shouting my name, it was great, unbelievable!"

Get him bought.

He's telling veryone we've made progress this season simply because we've finished 4th and last season we finished 5th, but even if we win our last game of the season we will still finish with less points than last year !

Yes, because last season we finished fifth. This season we wanted to get back into the Champions League and by finishing fourth we will have achieved that.
