Posted at 02/5/2024 11:20 by mister md Yes FTSE (finally) having a great run - and LIO should do even better ... |
Posted at 29/4/2024 17:08 by brucie5 For hi-div with very bullish charts:LIO, HFEL, BRWM, POLR, RCH, ITV Also JCGI looking perky from very oversold. VOD on the cusp of BO. For no div, very bullish charts: OXB, GMP, JLP For no div but knock out asymmetric opportunity/ albeit hi risk: ONT I should add these are all weighted positions according to risk of about 36 different shares- and I'm still mainly a dividend investor. |
Posted at 26/4/2024 08:39 by thebears1 More outflows from assets under management Slowing outflows but negative nonetheless Other funds have started to see net inflows Lio will rise sharply imo when outflows stop |
Posted at 17/4/2024 08:39 by whittler100 PMI outflows increased a touch over the last Qtr compared to the previous QTR they also have less than half of the AUM of LIO. Looking at LIO, these Qtr outflows are the lowest of the last 5 Qtrs, so fingers crossed we are gradually moving in the right direction. |
Posted at 23/2/2024 17:13 by kenmitch Brucie5I hope they don’t rebase (I.e cut!) the dividend. Like you am very happy to continue holding. The sector really appeals now. Further sector consolidation possible too, and it’s a sector that outperforms in bull markets. I hold JUP PMI MNG and POLR aa well as LIO. I can’t fathom why POLR has lagged recently. 11% dividend AND they have Funds in favoured sectors currently like Tech. Ripe for a strong share price run imo. |
Posted at 22/2/2024 16:45 by brucie5 Added substantially to my holdings. The chart looks about as promising as once could ask and the notional dividend (just covered according to Stocko) might yet be serviced? Quality of 92 on Stocko and was narrowly omitted by Graham Neary for his 2024 picks due to his preference for POLR, which I also hold.In the meantime the share price has come down to a quarter of its 2021 peak. And in my experience a share that more than halves very often repeats this pattern prior to recovery. I'd be interested to hear others' thought & targets. If dividend is sustainable, it surely becomes a buy for income alone? |
Posted at 24/8/2023 11:48 by 2wild Not sure that's fair. If sentiment towards a sector and therefore LIO share price haď not tanked, may well have gone through. |
Posted at 19/8/2023 10:14 by dealy all share prices are bombed out at present. last week was just a liquidation sale for small caps. one thing for sure though: the offer is not attractive for GAM shareholders. Also Xavier Neil is a well respected billionaire who bought the third largest mobile operator in Switzerland (Salt) with his own money. He is highly respected in Switzerland, France and Germany. He and his partners have also offered a loan to GAM so they are not stuck with the Liontrust offer. So this deal is not going to fly for Liontrust |
