21/4/2020 14:04 | Hi MrC Is this the right time? Well judging by recent sales I would say it was exactly the right time...just repeating what the post year-end comments... -Post year end Significant increased demand as a result of COVID-19 -195 monitors sold to date compared with 219 monitors sold in the whole of FY20 -Sales in the three months ending 30 April 2020 will significantly exceed total sales achieved in H1 FY20 Most of those sales are to the NHS. Let's hope they are the right tool for suffering patients as well as shareholders. Matt Sassone says: "Given the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a significant uplift in sales to the UK, Europe and China as intensivists aim to give the best possible care to affected patients. This comes after a strong year of growth in FY20, when we continued to build our base of recurring revenues." | fez
21/4/2020 13:55 | So down on the day and the sales keep coming. Seems the market doesn't agree with the bullish views here. The reality is that DEMG is far far better value at just over one times turnover.... | nobbygnome
21/4/2020 13:34 | FezIs it really the right time?Thought there was a problem with ventilators and the LID products in that they only work with high ventilator settings that are really dangerous and so only low settings, where LID is contraindicated, are recommended?Seems important with only half or less Coronavirus patients surviving being on a ventilator MrC | mrc2u
21/4/2020 12:51 | Valuations are clearly all over the place at the moment. Right Place - Right Time. This is a company producing a product absolutely essential at the current time - this is reflected in the massive increase in sales since year end will be transformational for Lidco imo | fez
21/4/2020 11:45 | Three times turnover is a lofty valuation in the current market. No wonder people are heading for the exits this morning..... | nobbygnome
21/4/2020 11:19 | >> sabre You should be admonishing your hero buywell not me. He is a despicable human being who manipulates and lies brazenly yet refuses to apologise for his misdemeanours. | nobbygnome
21/4/2020 11:16 | A very encouraging set of results out today, and this is the standard of discussion here?! I have taken a speculative opening position of 450k shares. I may add or exit on the basis of proper research over the next couple of weeks. | effortless cool

21/4/2020 09:39 | Reality setting in and the sellers are out in force. Ridiculously overvalued and the price can only go one way. | nobbygnome
21/4/2020 08:30 | Indeed buywell echoes that and adds If you think that Covid-19 is going to cleared up within the next 3 months then think again. Sales for LiDCO should be circa double that of the previous comparable period. Many will have read that ICU's in most countries are being scaled up by a factor of around times 3 to times 4. Staffing of these ICU's is going to be a problem for just about every Health Service in every country. In about 3 months from now the new temp erected and existing ICU expansions should be completed and additional ICU staff in place and trained and ready to go. Lockdowns are in buywells view likely to be carried out along the lines of China , after about 8 weeks from Day one. So in 3 or 4 weeks for many countries. However China is now showing an upward case trend again and it is difficult to argue in buywells view V another fresh wave of Covid cases followed by a 3rd wave in the later 6 months of this year and going into Jan 2021 . Soon the world will be using the 'sepsis' word in relation to the multiple organ targets that Covid-19 strikes. Death Certificates should be marked; Died from Covid=19 / Sepsis NOT pneumonia or Heart attack/failure or AKI etc ; it is sepsis so let the records show the truth of the matter so that future clinicians make sense of the data and what has taken or is taking place. My point is that there is, in buywells opinion, no reason why the rest of this year will not follow the first 3 months. Covid-19 is not going away till a vaccine is found and then made in huge quantity. This is being rushed . Understandable in the present circumstances with the world economy going down the plughole , but none the less such action comes with elevated risk attached. Human stage 3 trials are likely to be shorter than normal and thus the chance of unknown Toxicological problems with such a fast fast-tracked vaccine are in buywells view elevated . Elevated to such an extent that buywell will be watching for signs of those that first receive a new vaccine suffering adverse effects after perhaps 6 to 12 months buywell is talking heart or liver damage , or possible other organ damage. The gamble that the powers that be are taking in that they most probably will give it to ICU staff and other Hospital staff is that if this vaccine does have problems when it is fast-tracked made it would be nothing short of CATASTROPHIC if the world ICU workforce suffered as being guinea pigs . Perhaps boris it would be a good idea if all the politicians should get the first doses starting with yourself and then the cabinet live on the BBC News. IMO dyor PS Now do you see why buywell thought this next year will show LiDCO doubling the previous years turnover. | buywell3
