Commencement Of Testing

Leyshon Energy Limited (AIM:LEN) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pacific Asia Petroleum Limited (PAPL), has commenced the previously announced interim testing programme.

The contractor has been mobilized to site and will commence flow testing three zones in Well ZJS7 shortly.

The partners have also committed to drilling well ZJS8 in the northern part of the licence area the location of which will take into account the results from well ZJS7 as well as offset data.

The overall programme, including the drilling and flow testing of Well ZJS8, is expected to cost around US$4 million excluding overhead and supervision costs.

The programme is expected to complete in October with results reported as they come to hand.

I am aware of LEN's declaration of intent to do certain things. I do not recollect seeing any formal announcement to the effect that such intent has actually translated into action. Never mind any results.

wardy, your comments are very childish.

We are waiting on news of the current work programme, which is scheduled to complete in October. Some results will be announced when they come to hand, nobody knows when.

If you cannot accept these simple facts and are unable to manage the basic associated patience required, then this really is the wrong stock for you.

O&G stocks seem to get their news out late at least half the time, if not more.

RCTurner - I have looked into historical timelines in the ordos basin and 4 weeks is the norm, sino gas vertical wells for example. Although I would agree that LEN/LRL have never done anything on time yet, this well was spud a year ago now!
