08/3/2018 15:59 | Fine, if the fact that the broker has gone bust pending with a dodgy background and the nomad has had £3m in fines in the past year is nitpicking then so be it. Why did you set up this board? | soupdragon55
08/3/2018 15:53 | Thank you Belt. Sometimes some of the comments here are quite exhausting and completely without foundation. Soup - you appear to be becoming more and more negative to do with things concerning LEG. Maybe you need to chill out a bit and let things take their course. The bottom line here is that we have a holding in VS worth probably twice the current mcap and possibly a lot more. That's without anything else. Continual negative comment and nit-picking doesn't help things. | professor pettigrew
08/3/2018 15:28 | Nomad = Grant Thornton Auditor = Crow Clark Whitehill LLP Grant Thornton is the nomad here, not the auditor. So what happens in the GT audit department (in regards to some other company) has no relation to the work carried out by the nomad here. Has there ever been an issue with GT anywhere in their role as a nomad? If not, then as the prof says they are a first class outfit. | belt n braces
08/3/2018 15:26 | From your own header PP. "For those that want a serious and meaningful discussion on LEG, be they bear or bull, you are welcome here." You posted (without evidence) that Grant Thornton were 100% reputable, I was just providing some balance with the fact that they had nearly £3m in fines in the past year. Why are you worried by this? As a shareholder I have every right to question everything the company does or says. | soupdragon55
08/3/2018 14:59 | He's turning again. I fear for Soup. | bionicdog
08/3/2018 14:55 | soup - I presume you own stock here? But you are more and more showing that you seem to have an agenda. If you don't like anything to do with LEG then why not sell out and disappear? | professor pettigrew

Basically, if the auditor isn't trustworthy, then how can you believe the company figures. Perhaps you should ask deloittes about yellow pages/Hibu Have a look at how many times deloittes have been fined US auditing watchdog fines Deloitte a record $8m - Financial TimesDeloitte hit with record £4m accounting fine over Aero Inventory collapse i will say no more on the matter | fatfish

08/3/2018 12:43 | Lots of auditors get fined, as long as they make more for their clients than the fine they don't seem to give a toss. All seems par for the course. | fatfish
08/3/2018 12:19 | That's pretty old news that is well known you've dragged up there soup. Still, if it pleases you. | professor pettigrew

08/3/2018 11:58 | Morning Brian, yes it's a sad state of affairs really. Fortunately as you say client cash was kept aside and also corporate I believe, so clients such as us have emerged okay. Glad we have such an excellent nomad as Grant Thornton, a thorough 100% reputable company. Good to know we have such expertise behind us advising. | professor pettigrew
08/3/2018 11:29 | Hi Prof, well lets hope they choose a reputable outfit this time, I just heard from a mate at PWC that Beaufort had zero cash in their bank account (clients cash was kept separate)which is likely the reason that they got involved in all the dodgy deals......... | brian boru
08/3/2018 10:51 | Professor Pettigrew8 Mar '18 - 10:33 - 12560 of 12560 0 0 2 I've just spoken to somebody at the London Stock Exchange, who told me it usually takes between 2-4 weeks to appoint a new broker, once the paperwork and due diligence is completed, although it some cases it can be quicker especially for a company that is already on the market. So, on that basis I'd expect to hear within the next fortnight at the outside of the new appointment. What a plank. Ever heard of google? If they dont get a new broker within a month, they are delisted. How long does it take a broker to do dd over questionable loans, questionable asset valuations and questionable warrant sales? For any self respecting one, and remember they'll all be busy looking at all the other beaufort rejects, quite a while. What priority is given to a 3.5mln microcap? | professor knobhead
