21/1/2018 09:19 | A not even a big football fan writes :- Professor Football Thug (CFC) 21 Aug 2017 - 06:46:21 I'd actually like to genuinely apologise for last night's behaviour, and yes I was completely drunk. So, in the spirit of good will I will NOT be posting here again. In fact I'm not even a big football fan, so I don't know why I wasted my time. Last from me. | chinese investor
21/1/2018 08:29 | I think that we've seen brief periods of optimistic weather before. I note that the prof was back to supporting Millwall yesterday , even though he really supports West Ham , but goes to Palace. | bionicdog
21/1/2018 04:15 | I see Wincanton dont mention the edge/vs by name. In fact, the press release is full of hot air, with no new contracts announced. It seems vs have effectively given up on gaining new contracts for themselves, and are now relying on a senior partner to help them, with the corresponding drop off in revenues and profits, if any. Rather than add value to VS, I think this halves the value. Massive news? Do me a favour, its a sign of desperation. | professor knobhead
21/1/2018 00:21 | By the way, who is edward osbourne? | professor knobhead
21/1/2018 00:08 | Wincanton announced this on 16th Jan: Basically, they can use the edge if their own in house offerings dont meet the needs of their customers, which they do. As usual, potplant is reading news he doesnt understand and calling it massive. There remains little or no upside to this share. | professor knobhead
20/1/2018 21:28 | Could be stormy next week.. Professor Pettigrew 20 Jan '18 - 19:56 - 11617 of 11619 0 1 2 My current holding is 76,685,567 and this will, over the coming weeks and months, quietly piece by piece be added to, to meet my eventual target of 100m shares. | maxk
20/1/2018 20:30 | Nearly twice what I have prof - well done. Wishing all the luck in the world but it all seems to shaping up now do we might not need too much luck now; just a bit more patience then we will be able to afford to buy CI etc new personalities :) | gottopickapocketortwo
20/1/2018 19:56 | My current holding is 76,685,567 and this will, over the coming weeks and months, quietly piece by piece be added to, to meet my eventual target of 100m shares. | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 18:39 | Superb Result for Crystal Palace..If You Disregard The Result ! | chinese investor
20/1/2018 17:48 | A word to those who think they are clever, having as their hobby the trashing and doubting of VS, and by extension LEG. Do you honestly think that a company such as Wincanton, with a £276m market cap, and annual turnover of over £1.1 BILLION would partner with a tinpot much smaller (at the moment) company if VS had nothing to offer? The informed buying and the afternoon disclosure of the partnership tie-up yesterday, must have left a lump in the throats of those that sold out of LEG rather early recently, although of course it's not too late to pile back in on Monday. Bottom line is, the Wincanton news isn't just a massive positive for VS (and of course LEG), but it proves beyond doubt how hard the VS board have been working away unbeknowing to many. No wonder Zaf immediately plugged the small gap due to the NotionCapital dilution in VS and reinstated our holding back to 7.2% (and let's not forget he holds a nice wedge of VS stock himself too). Some of us have a reasonable holding here, but there isn't one individual who has as many shares as Bruce Rowan, who singly owns almost 8% of LEG shares. Notice he hasn't sold any recently? He's in for the long haul, and his patience and unrivalled acumen in this sphere is just starting to pay off for him. As it will for all genuine holders. As the days go on, and more and more positive news comes through, it's no wonder the MM's are suffering from rather delicate rectums. | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 16:57 | Superb result for Millwall. Bit like LEG really - when everyone thinks they are down and out, they bounce back to knock you out. | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 16:35 | luckyjohn71 - I very much doubt it. You may not have seen my post, a couple of months back I e-mailed M&S to enquire whether "The Edge" would fit their requirements. I got a very prompt and polite reply back to say that M&S were "very aware" of what VS had to offer, but as most of their food stock was "own brand" it wasn't quite what they required at that time. However, they did go on to say, that everything was "under review" and if they were to change their food retailing modus operandi, then everything would be "under consideration". I think if VS had secured an M&S contract it definitely would have been RNS'd. | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 16:05 | Has Virtualstock got the contract with M&S as i was looking at the Wincanton press release and on the second paragraph last sentence it says. These services complement the group's exiting eFulifilment proposition which is already used by some of the UK's most forward-thinking eCommerce retailers, such as Screwfix, Argos and M&S | luckyjohn71
20/1/2018 14:19 | Not 100% understanding what you are saying Soup, but I'll ask - Do you view the partnership tie-up with Wincanton as bullish? | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 12:55 | Morning Gotto - yes Wincanton are huge and growing all the time. My only fear is that one day there will be a knockout takeover for VS before we get to the 1p mark. Mind, if they bid the equivalent of 2p per LEG share, I'm sure all genuine holders will be happy with that. There will be one or two here in particular who won't be particularly happy next week I can tell you. | professor pettigrew
20/1/2018 10:24 | Not got time to look at the wincanton details today. But will say to look at the names mentioned. One has been a konstant. | soupdragon55
20/1/2018 09:14 | VS merging with Winalot (the name says everything) ! This is gonna be massive ! The biscuit goes straight from the manufacturer to the kennel ! Do you know how many dogs there are in Britain ? GO GO DOGGIE ! | chinese investor
20/1/2018 09:01 | Overuse of THAT word again... Professor Pettigrew19 Jan '18 - 17:11 - 11590 of 11605 0 2 5 To partner with a company as massive and well connected such as Wincanton, is, quite simply, MASSIVE news. No wonder that post got 5 red ticks | michaelsadvfn
20/1/2018 08:45 | With well over £1 Billion in annual revenue and growing year on year and with profits of over £50million per annum and also growing - this a thriving business to be partnered with. Happy with this link up.They supply all the major supermarkets | gottopickapocketortwo
20/1/2018 04:56 | Done a bit of reading - wincanton are huge :) happy days | gottopickapocketortwo
20/1/2018 00:49 | So, the usual suspect is getting all excited over a partnership, and ejaculating all over his keyboard because of it. I recall they partnered with IBM too, allegedly. Of course, it was no such thing. They are trying to find other 'partners' because they cannot win any new contracts. Should an IBM or a Somerset town help them, a decent chunk of revenues will go to the partner. It looks to me to be a sign of desperation, not progress. The never ending overhang here, coupled with the ludicrous overvaluation of VS, will ensure that every single spike is sold into. I retain my 0p target. When has LEG ever profited on an investment? Answers on the back of a stamp please. | professor knobhead |
