Exactly. VS was on the books at a TOTAL value of just £2m when LEG first took their stake.

Last time out the valuation was £58m.

Now it could be around £200m.

Bosques is another intriguing holding. Also, our gold investment is another that will eventually pay off bigtime.

Gold is around $1340 per oz and it looks as though we have a stake in a sizeable find.

I say again - all this for under £7m?

Where I do agree with TEN BAG MAN, is that we need some more info from VS - we need newsflow now about the "two household names", and we need news of new contracts which I'm sure are on the verge of being signed (or have been already).

The mix here is compelling, but more than that is being given away by a market that hasn't a clue how to value it.

Put simply, if 100 people purchased 1m shares each, that would be it.

Game up for the MM's. The free float would disappear, the share price would then reflect the true value here. I believe that should be in the 1p region now, not some time ahead.

The VS revaluation is key, but don't forget what else we have here.

Legendary Investments. A giant in the making.

Just because it's on the books for peanuts doesn't mean that it's not worth many millions (Bosques) . I think you need to do some more research lol . A LOT MORE tbh

A record year for LEG let's see if some momentum starts to build from here I ve had a good couple of weeks on other stock, RTW1 pointed me in direction of AXM, day traded that and got timing bang on 1st time ever :-) and bagged on FUM,so got cash for top up here, my current average is .24 so may average down tomorrow if possible,I must admit to being disappointed with LEG price today, but the company as never been in such a good position,I remain lth, would be crazy to abandon it now, I agree Prof value at approx 3 times profit is a steal,we have Gold,BioFuel and Tech interests, not the worst markets to be in at present, keep the faith, I'm sure it will come good soon :-) and thanks RTW for the research and the tip I picked up from your lse post :-)

Ten bag mans post is correct that the profit quoted is on valuations and at the moment valuing virtual stock is hard to do. If it floats or is bought then we crystallise a value. I have asked a few times if anyone knows some figures for vs turnover profit etc for the last few years as that would really help to value vs & leg. The rns did make it clear that the value of the other investments is pretty small and most of leg is all about vs. The rest make up a few £100k at most. We all know the vs story is good but really need some figures and projections to see where this is going.Does anyone know who the other bigger holders are in vs??

RTW1 - do you know of any updated broker note from Beaufort or any impending press comment on today's results?

TEN BAG MAN - you have posted some very good and interesting stuff over the years on various threads, but I am at a loss as to your mode of thinking here.

When Moonpig Man took a stake, VS was valued around £58m. Things have moved on apace since then.

I would hazard a guess that we are very near an announcement as to new contracts for them, and the valuation now could be nearer £200m.

Even earlier in the year, Zaf was talking about the possibility of VS becoming a "unicorn" company. That has now been officially repeated within the RNS today.

Surely, a stock with such a varied portfolio and immense potential shouldn't be priced by the market on a p/e of 3.3?

Think about it for a moment. If you had, say, £7m in ready cash would you actually attempt to buy every single share in LEG?

I know I would.

My view is .

LEG have only made a profit through an uplift in the value of one of their portfolio companies.

The way that valuation has been proved( off the back of another investor paying more for a slice of the investee company) is NOT a true value.

I could do the same, it might cost me say £5M and in doing so I make my mates shares in the investee company WORTH 3 times more.!!!!

Get 3 or 4 parties to do the same and for £20M one could bump up LEG'S valuation to £100M.

The only time the real valuation comes to light is a sale or floatation of the investee company.

5 dma crossed the 10 dma today (short time frame chart) .

It's a start in the right direction .

All the short term traders sold today so we could hold our gains a lot easier now .

Let's hope that we hear that Sainsburys has a contract with VS (now that the takeover is complete) . Maybe just maybe , we had to wait for it to go through before they released a rns .

It makes perfect sense for them to want VS because Argos had a contract with VS !

Was finding it difficult to buy today? Tried a few times to buy at 0.23 and 0.24 in the afternoon and couldn't get anything..... weird or what! Why make it so hard to buy shares.... annoys me sometimes!! Results seemed very good to buy... why are the foolish selling?? Surely it's going up from here! Thought share price would rise a lot on the results? Was there something not to impressive that I missed?Maybe there will be a surge tomorrow when the results sink in!!

brando69 - know what you mean, wasn't lecturing. Instis indeed are always wary of sub penny (or sub 10p shares), but quality will out here eventually.

The 1p party is still on remember.

Yeah thanks Prof, always forget about the gold play as it's often overshadowed by VS.

All looking good to me..
