15/6/2022 07:35 | A little more complicated than that Gary you have to factor things like index trackers, etf’s,currency | 123trev
15/6/2022 07:08 | marktime, Is LGEN really sensitive to macro economics? In terms of general insurance, motor is a must, buildings is a must if you have a mortgage. Fund management to some extent. Annuity business will benefit from higher rates and has predictable cash flows. | gary1966
15/6/2022 06:55 | Brokers.Do any other investors move shares between themselves and their partner? AJ Bell let's you do it, and it's really easy. Very handy for tax purposes, but I wonder if any others do it, and which brokers do it. | geardown107
15/6/2022 06:51 | I think bothdavis prefers to bottom feed, and his preference is a special kind of ar5ehole, it's 'Filterman', another whose poor and sadly lacking inter-personal skills are standing him out.The General clocked him, he's been clocked on the adult board for calling names, yet both wants a hands in pants session? Each to their own, nice day for the Peaks today. | geardown107
14/6/2022 22:52 | Perhaps you should back at his vile posts? | rongetsrich
14/6/2022 22:17 | He only stated the obvious - 8% yield...... calm down....life's to short to be so angsty..... | bothdavis
14/6/2022 21:56 | Shouldnt you be sneering at someone and then filtering them! Lololol | rongetsrich
14/6/2022 21:53 | These are great value.https://www.fo | montyhedge
14/6/2022 21:32 | The sneering halfwit Woodhawk returns, because he's had a telling off. Obviously his life is pretty empty!! | paultightwad
14/6/2022 19:05 | Get this rate decision out of the way let the Dow fall slightly below 30k then markets can probably start to rise for a while before resuming the downward trend to 27k then free fall to 22k. | 123trev
14/6/2022 14:04 | Circa 8% yield for LGEN at these prices! Amazing. | woodhawk
14/6/2022 13:43 | Added yesterday at 237. Will take another tranche at 225 if it wants to get there. | actybod
14/6/2022 10:57 | ask 10 economists for a prediction and you'll get 20 | adejuk
14/6/2022 08:50 | Traders now pricing in 260 bps of hikes by August 2023 puting int rates in UK at 3.6%. Seems a bit excessive with most economists stating that inflation will start to fall by the end of the year. | mo123
13/6/2022 12:18 | Looks like the arms clone Woodhawk has been told off for childish and pathetic name calling on the adult board! If I get this board right, his tantrums and sneering are what destroyed this board, so he we'll be going round the buoy again there.Poor inter-personal skills nearly always stem from a poor or vile upbringing. | rongetsrich
13/6/2022 12:09 | There are good arguments here on both sides, for buy+hold and for trading the cycles. Or a hybrid, happy to retain this as a core holding for income while occasionally trading a few around the dividend cycle. I didn't trade any this time though, because I remain convinced LGEN is really worth 310p+ and below that feels like selling short. Considering how sensitive LGEN is to macro economics and market sentiment picking the right time in the cycle requires a bit of luck but so does picking the bottom when accumulating. Keep it civil please and thank you well done for moderating yourselves. Also well done those playing the long game and taking opportunity to add the lows. | marktime1231
13/6/2022 10:19 | dow futures are 2-3% down. i expect further drops the divi grows with each fall and i am hoping to call close to the bottom for re-entry | adejuk
13/6/2022 10:13 | anhar. i don't have a clue when it comes to predicting share price my concerns are about the uk, global economies. i didn't mind if i called it wrongly. it was keeping me awake ! i'm lucky to be semi-retired and to have the time to do a bit of monitoring. i want my capital to be there for my offspring. :-) | adejuk
13/6/2022 09:44 | Well done then. I don't make judgements on short term considerations as I'm strictly long term, have held LGEN and many other shares for many years, and would not claim to be able to see what's coming. I don't even want to try because I know I'd be wrong much more often than right. So I stick to my strategy, simply holding HY shares in a wide range of industries with only very occasional selling. Has worked for me over decades and interestingly, capital growth hasn't been bad either though that's not at all why I do it. | anhar |
