The Swedes have lost the plot. Retire gracefully. Just liquidate LDSG for the minorities.

Probably becuase the Swedes can't finally kill it off without admitting they went over the 30% threshold without making an offer as a concert party many years ago.

Just remind me why LDSG are still listed.

Been through a similar process with ZMNO and now waiting for the proceeds of a voluntary liquidation at a small loss!

Personally I wouldn't bother with PTD either. I know the balance sheet looks good but although they seem to report a profit much of it seems to go into stock which goes up and up for a few years and then gets written off. I'm not sure how racy you like them but you could take a look at RLM. It's a failed pharma that is trading at a pretty big discount to cash, although it's still burning it. They've now decided to throw in the towel and put the whole lot up for sale and are in talks at the moment. They hope to finish things by the end of this quarter. They way I see it is if there is any value in the IP or business then there could be some decent upside and if there isn't there should still be enough cash left for me to get my money back. Maybe not the sort of thing you call value though.

Realise these are a slow burner Arthur. Class myself as a value investor, hence hold BISI, BLEY, PTD etc. BISI has proved decent investment but not the other two! In fact BLEY being delisted and I am forced to either accept £1 per share or hold shares unlisted. Will probably reinvest BLEY proceeds here when received in March. Never learn!

Like Tiger just bought an initial 8500 holding on the long view with NAV now 73p and annual EPS of 4p. Will continue to pick up stock if available in the mid to late 20's.

Think the Swedes have lost the plot. Well not sure they ever knew the plot for minority shareholders.

Probably a Christmas present for Magnus from his brother. Jan is a good guy but he really needs to step up his game here for the benefit of all shareholders.

Deal should be eps accretive. Tidying up a loose end. Small change. Not strategic.

Buying high street textile shops with tiny profits could be a mistake. May have been better to focus on internet only retail selling through the Hemmers Itex website. Use the existing main warehouse site and expand if it works.

Yup I like TRD a lot...don’t own it but great niche business, lots of discussion on Twitter with some v intelligent investors..I think it’s worth persevering as some discussion boards are becoming like the Mary Celeste.

i did sign up to Twitter to see what it was all about but don't really bother with it tbh. Have you had a look at TRD? Not an asset play but looks ludicrously cheap with a decent outlook for the next couple of years at least and a cash rich balance sheet. The divi yield is a bit mean but at least they pay one.

I did the same with AIEA ..now rather a large holding for me. I bracket LDSG with SIXH as another cheap share but high opportunity cost of holding as no dividend to offset the waiting time. BILN & HYNS I also hold as a reasonable dividend is part of the picture. Though they have strong growth as well. Out of interest are you on Twitter?

Hi rhomboid I'd tend to agree. I bought AIEA some years ago at 10p because I thought they were cheap and had to wait quite a few years for the price to double but at least I was getting a decent divi out of the. With Leeds you get nothing.

Hi Arthur The lack of a dividend kills it for me..cheap going nowhere is tolerable if I’m being well paid to wait

Is anyone still around? I'm giving some though to buying back in just because the discount to TNA is so large and the Swedes finally seem to have stopped running this entirely like their own little plaything but it pays no dividend and the price has gone virtually nowhere in 20 years so i'm not sure it's worth it.

No divi and the share price has dropped 25% since the end of 2017.
