25/10/2023 10:02 | Ridiculous price now whichever way you look at it. Time to top up soon | 21ant
28/9/2023 13:35 | I have held since soon after listing.LTG now quite a complex beast for the layman to fully understand the numbers, but the one constant through all past years has been strong cash generation and this again features. It does look as though margins at GPS will improve in the second half and there is a healthy amount of revenue on long term contracts, but no growth expected this year. Debt is uncomfortably high and I am encouraged by the early repayment of $25M being made shortly.US dollar rate has big effect either way on translation of US operations.I will continue to hold, but always dyor. | partridge1948
28/9/2023 09:55 | What are your expectations for next year? Lower revenues, flat performance or back to growth? | petrencf
27/9/2023 13:13 | No posters here which is a shame. Maybe most have run to the hills now that LTG appears to be perceived as an ex.growth stock. | cyberian
25/9/2023 11:30 | Oh dear!!! Recent share price trend not that reassuring with 1H results tomorrow. One can only hope that the company project a recovery in 2H which is likely, I hope. | cyberian
13/9/2023 12:06 | Fairly large sells going through again today so in some doubt as to future direction. | cyberian
28/7/2023 20:26 | Not sure that a couple of pence is much of a recovery when it has dropped 60p since April , but let us hope... | wad collector
28/7/2023 19:02 | Decent recovery today. | petrencf
27/7/2023 08:28 | Quite right. Error on my part. | aimingupward2
27/7/2023 06:55 | How would it work for their favour? They get less GBP for their USD earnings. | petrencf
26/7/2023 19:10 | The $/£ exchange rate continues to work in LTG’s favour re their dollar earnings in the USA. It was around 1.1 last autumn and has risen since to near 1.3. | aimingupward2
26/7/2023 16:57 | Glad I dumped these a while back | drsamwaa
26/7/2023 16:16 | Bet I've got more and bigger lemons than you WC | toffeeman
26/7/2023 14:12 | Another lemon in my collection, 4 yr low... | wad collector
26/7/2023 13:07 | Yes this is a quality company with excellent management, good acquisition and growth strategies and a strong business model. I was lucky enough to get in around 40p and sold near the top, albeit several years later. When they say they expect margins to improve in the second half, I believe them as they still have excellent credibility in my eyes. Like many, they've been hit by the the macro environment and possibly currency misjudgements, but long term this remains a fine company. The catch is that institutional Investors on both sides of the pond use stop losses much more nowadays, and that could impact on the share price for a while yet. That should though offer opportunities for PIs to find excellent entry points in the coming months and I am certainly a prospective buyer at the right looking moment. | microscope
26/7/2023 09:58 | Yes it does appear that way. We won't see any return to share price growth until we see some signs of revenue and ebit growing again. Obviously the numbers they put out in September won't be great but as you say they still look very healthy and a few good months, positive forward statement and maybe a top notch acquisition could reverse this decline. This is a good company. | 21ant
26/7/2023 09:12 | This drop seems way overdone to me based on today’s trading update. Should settle around 75p later All imho DYOR | 1ultimate
28/6/2023 12:49 | 1 Brode only holds 14.8%, so he could hardly block a bid with that. 2 With his long term track record, I'm very happy to see him remain as non-exec chairman. Obviously he's retiring from the Exec Chair role at RWS, but perhaps a non-exec role at LTG with a talented CEO is easier for an 82 year old. 3 I would think the only reason for voting against the chairman would be some misguided governance policies where funds think non-exec directors should be moved on after a certain number of years. Such people would probably vote for Warren Buffett to move on. As far as I'm concerned, if a director has talent and skin in the game, the longer he stays, the better. A question: Who are the most similar large scale competitors to LTG ? Google comes up with some terrible examples. | jonesj
27/6/2023 20:59 | Is Brode's holding a deterrent to potential M & A ? He has dominant effective control just like at RWS. Nothing will happen with either company without his consent - not sure that is necessarily optimal for other shareholders (interests). | value viper
27/6/2023 10:19 | Thank you. | jeffian
27/6/2023 09:56 | Try this link Jeffian. hxxps://ltgplc.com/w | networker
27/6/2023 09:10 | Yes, that is an interesting one. As a long-term investor in RWS, Brode's presence here was a significant influence in my investment. They do say "In respect of resolution 4, LTG has engaged with its shareholders in order to understand the reasons behind the voting result and will continue to do so in the coming months" so it will be interesting to see if they follow up on this. As a matter of interest, where did you find the actual voting figures? The RNS just refers generically to all the Resolutions being passed and the link provided to the LTG site makes it very difficult to see the votes cast (at least, I couldn't find them). | jeffian
27/6/2023 07:31 | What's going on with Brode? 35% of peps at the AGM wanted him gone as chair. | alphabeta4
22/6/2023 11:07 | Interesting. Makes you wonder how long it will be free? Once everybody gets used to it, then perhaps it might change. | hazl |
