Lets hope they can now shape the Asian business to
what they want, they opened an Indian store the other
year and a Chinese web site last, so lets hope the
new ned with fashion experience can get the business
on that side going again, lots of customers in
Asia with lots of wealth, dyor.

Well put, we all know the above unfortunately.

But regarding the Singapore building, it ruined
the company, although a silver lining could be
the Singapore property market rose last year and
is set for another this year, one of the new appointments
is part of MUI which hopefully could buy it,
dyor.

Such a shame as just before the purchase in July
2015 aly was, making big profits, millions in the bank,
virtually no debt and paying a good dividend with
share price at 35p, all was good, then.......

I think this is going private.

If you had to invent a strategy for taking it private it would have been exercised like this.

1, get a controlling interest
2, take over the board
3, have independent directors resign and replace
4, buy a large property near 3% of your business and half a world away from the other 97% - which is surplus to the business
5, Use ALL of the cash so there is no money left to pay out dividends to those minority shareholders - as an income share this hits the share price.
6, Suffer and unfortunate devaluation of the property on the other side of the world, who knows what it is worth ? who can argue?
7, Watch the share price decline further as a result of the write down.
8, Increase the salary of the board members (family?) that you appointed - less profit
9, Review share price and see if the whole company has become cheap enough to buy.

10, if not continue until it is

We certainly are, I just hope the high street
is about to start looking oversold, fingers
