14/5/2015 11:37 | Well look at it as a free ride from now on then bobby, and invest the dividends from now in more ALY shares, if you don't need the cash? I would be surprised if ALY doesn't do very well eventually, it is a good brand, and while it may have many structural problems with franchising, distribution, margins and costs etc. people still like it, and as far as I hear, people in India love it for household, and I imagine it will also do well in China (when all those flats eventually get occupied!) - IU can also see it being a takeover target for someone like FOSUN, although another poster here pointed out that Management / Owners would be unlikely to sell. Still, I guess it in part depends on the divorce settlement, the owner may need to monetise assets to deal with that? He is certainly burning a lot of cash in court! | hereford29
14/5/2015 11:22 | Bought mine in the share save scheme can't remember exactly when. Have 8000 for £5k so paid approx 62p. Still waiting for price to go above my buying price. Live in hope. | coolhandfluke

11/5/2015 12:20 | I imagine some people are buying for the dividend. But with the need for a large amount of housing in the UK, there must be a knock on effect for furnishings. Also I believe they are doing very well in India, though perhaps that is franchised. | hereford29
11/5/2015 08:53 | Also bit of volume. | irnbru2

08/5/2015 20:15 | The problem is the divi. For the uncertainty, we need to keep it high. That means a low share price | irnbru2
