hungary16 - because they (in the main - check them out) are kind of morally obliged to play the long game and get their financial reward at the end game. At a time that their % holding of the entire Co hasn't dropped (but likely increased). Not so the loyal PI that bought in a decade ago at many multiples of today's price. Unlikely to see ANY profit unless they choose to average down. There have been endless Placements over the past 10 years. Many at far higher prices, some in double bubble numbers.

I'm not sure why those that invested in the last financing at 2.7p would want to see the shares below 2p ! I don't think shareholders are normally knocking the company's door down with offers of money so I'm sure anyone can participate in the next financing - make a phone call !

Played a PR blinder highlighting the forthcoming Placement by getting the next fundraiser reduced from 2.7p only 6 months ago in March to it seems likely circa 1.5p to 1.7p range. How to oh so easily manipulate the market and the share price performance. More shares and bigger % of Company going to those privileged few in the know. And longstanding PIs getting shafted in the process with zillions more shares going into circulation making any end game less attractive/profitable.

I have no doubt that the company should and hopefully will , head to Toronto with new management , new board , new money and a new capital structure. The gold project will then have the chance of reaching its potential !

I might be considered a SH that's critical of management but I'm not sure I'll be a SH for much longer as I only have 100k of my 600k left. The reason I'm selling out is not because of the asset, which I think will eventually be a decent size and low extraction costs, it's because I have lost faith that this management has a brain. Management imo pretty much just shouted out they will be diluting SH again, and the share price tanked 15%, when they do the placing it'll probably be at another 15-20% discount. They should have just done the placing quietly without shafting the share price first causing a double hit. I might buy back in after they've raised money but probably not. Good luck to all those that hold.

Of course there's a ray of hope! I know the share price is frustrating but it's also frustrating to hear shareholders talking the company down at every available opportunity...

Good post by someone that I've c&p'd from another BB:- "Sadly my greatest fear with regard to the company not having sufficient funds is now out in the public domain. No pleasure in being right - I witnessed the same at PGD where the company was brought to it's knees before BH exited left and took up the mantle here with a similar situation arising. Loads of companies out there to choose from with serious amounts of in ground resources/reserves but no funds to enable them to move from exploration to production. Those with available funds are able to bide their time and pick off the weakest at a price which suits them - after all there is no point in the 'cash rich' paying more today when the price will be less in the foreseeable future. Many desirable assets are held within companies which can't continue - thereafter those assets can be picked up in a fire sale for next to nothing. Sad but true. Long gone are the times when one could buy into a 'minnow' who would take all the risks knowing that if successful a 'Major' would buy them out or pay handsomely to pay a premium to enter into a JV. The world has changed - investment has changed - with money being made by trading volatility in the small caps - the Blue Chip's generating a decent income paying investors a high yield will always be in demand when interest rates are low. Brancote was a long long time ago and a company director is only as good as his last appointment. Not good to viewed by the markets as being a 'one trick pony' especially when you are heading up a company that requires cash."

I bought these at about 17p something like 10 years ago from memory. At the time,I was attracted by their Lithium prospects. The directors have successfully all but written off my investment.Their achievement has been drilling holes, and placing after placing. The only morsel so far is their gold prospect. It is now time for these leading lights to retire from the company,as they are well past their sell by date.Let someone else take over with more vision and purpose to provide hope and inspiration to long suffering private shareholders.

After next inevitable fundraiser there'll be in excess of 1 billion shares in circulation. If the share price is ever to recover back to the 15p level it was once at - then anyone who wants to buy LND outright that equates to an absolute minimum acquisition price of £150 million PLUS mine construction costs. There'd have to be a lot of high margin gold to justify a healthy IRR on that investment. They've done well to keep this going over the past 10 years fluctuating between the various minerals of nickel, iron ore & gold and others. Paid themselves in fees & expenses and kept their own original shareholding % in tact. No mean feat. Take my hat off to them for that. No need to take up knitting just yet in their retirement. The excuse of a 'crashed' current market -v- having a strategy in place to confidently cope with that in a Futures market. After a decade of trying not a great performance for & on behalf of the long suffering PI holder who invested at circa 15-20p many moons back. But still hope of some return. Sometime. Watch this space!

Oo a bit of a mark down at the moment. Was it the statement that they'll need further funding for the new drilling. Guess there is gold at the end of this rainbow.

I think the gold deposit is going to be a winner - the recent drilling results and those to come should result in a significant Resource upgrade in the next couple of months. Of course , a lot more grilling is required which means more money. I think it's the corporate side that needs attention with enhanced management , a dual listing in Toronto and a decent broker getting behind it.
