01/9/2016 15:31 | Just had a chat with a mining analyst who made the following "casual guess." 250k of gold near surface as native gold should give around $600 an ounce profit $150m to fund up the company. 500k more like $350-$400m. But it's all about the drill and getting around 2g a tonne gold per tonne open pit. So let's cross our fingers and pray that the gods have been kind? You never know, they did it before. Oh and 500k is a small gold mine in these parts. Rainy River is 4-5m ounces! But 250k would do quite nicely. Regards From Toronto | davidblack

30/8/2016 19:32 | The disposal of the Root Lake lithium property was a bad and short sighted decision inmho by the BOD.The future demand for this metal is well documented.Look at the Ardiden web site for a detailed insight on Root Lake.Would you have preferred in investing in this rather than nickel? Let us hope that their gold discovery will fuel expectations. | imperial3
30/8/2016 17:44 | and there appear the late trades. They must be sells. Explains why last weeks buying volume was having no impact. Someone is going to be very happy or very unhappy very soon. | jackbal
30/8/2016 14:38 | Currently in Toronto on business but get the feeling half of Canada is on holiday for the next week or so. In any case the markets here are very thin so I think we are going to have to wait a while longer. | davidblack
25/8/2016 16:56 | OK thanks. I will google and sure it will be available on-line. I was being a bit lazy! But if anyone does know please save me the time of reading through the rule book! | jackbal
25/8/2016 16:43 | Others may know more Jackbal, but I think if a large sell order hasn't been completed in full, then they don't have to report it until it has been. | temujiin
25/8/2016 16:22 | Excuse my ignorance but what are the rules on mm's reporting sells? How long can they hide the sell order for? thanks for you comments | jackbal
25/8/2016 16:09 | Often, but by no means always, when there's lots of buys but the share price still falls, you either have a large seller just needing/wanting out (most likely case imo), or it's ii insider trading as they are aware of a placing and know they can soon buy back or obtain shares cheaper. I think the first one is more likely atm as LND raised C$2.2m only in June to fund the current drilling. | temujiin
25/8/2016 14:42 | I agree with Lochlea on the manipulation factor. That 500k buy has done nothing to move the price and most of the orders and last two days have been buys. However since the 1million late reported sale no other sales have shown. Surely they cant be working a huge sell order that they have held back for two days can they? If not why are buy orders now not moving price up? Landore cant be responsible for MM practices but something fishy goin on imo | jackbal

24/8/2016 21:14 | HM, a lot of us have been here for many years and you're right it's been frustrating to say the least! But we are where we are and hopefully we now have light at the end of the tunnel. As much as I do sympathise with Lochlea I think the gripe a lot of us have with him is the sheer relentlessness of his negativity. It's brutal and seems to be almost day after day and after every slight drop in share price. It goes well beyond a bit of healthy cynicism. One thing that concerns me is that it's very unattractive to potential new private investors who must read the BB to do some research with a view to buying and then think better of it and look elsewhere. That's my take on it but as Lochlea says, if you don't want to read his posts, which he is of course entitled to make, then filter him. Anyway with out wanting to be labelled a ramper, I sincerely do hope this is the start of exciting times for our LND. Stan | stan-the-man
24/8/2016 20:16 | TIZZER - Re "Relentless pessimism" Many of us have been here for some time, having bought at very much multiple share price to where you are here today and have no choice other than to sweat it out waiting to see what happens. Lochlea has been commenting here quite reasonably for many years and has much experience of this company. He like many of us cannot suddenly be expected to forget the negative scenario we've been dealt before and will remain quite naturally cynical, as indeed do I. Selling these shares has not been an option unless prepared to suffer great losses, as many of us bought at just under 10 times todays share price and there's been no rhyme or reason to average down over the past few years with little to encourage us that we wouldn't have been throwing good money after bad. You can't blame Lochlea for being a little cynical. However ... let's all hope we're at the dawn of Landore finally turning things around. Here's to some really positive news! Good luck everyone. 24/8/2016 18:55 | Ll, alternatively you could just sell your holding, move on and stop contaminating this board with your relentless pessimism.... | tizzer
24/8/2016 18:21 | well GDX down 4% today..Gold fell away first thing. Apparently due to some fed announcement on interest rates - where they may or may not rise them... | glennrcharles

24/8/2016 11:09 | As I say....negative rantings, becoming very tiresome, you really should get out more pal zzzzzzzzz | tizzer
24/8/2016 11:03 | Plenty of folks invested in PGD during that period. Some £150 million worth. 300% increased in PoG. That's some upside to a cycle. 90% decrease in share value. 400% swing in 14 years. Trouble is they promised the earth. But delivered much less. | lochlea
24/8/2016 10:49 | During that period regional and local government wete essentially paralysed at best. The whole place just ticked along waiting for presidential change and until that happened no one invested in anything. Essentially it became a zombie economy, a very nice place though. | davidblack
24/8/2016 08:31 | There are exceptions of course. PGD was born out of Brancote when sold. PGD has been a gold producer for past few years. PoG has risen 20% in past 12 months yet today PGD has lost 90% of its value since it launched on AIM many moons ago. Even though PoG has risen 300% since that launch. | lochlea
23/8/2016 17:03 | John actually Brancote was sold to April 2002 MERIDIAN GOLD INC. AND BRANCOTE HOLDINGS PLC ANNOUNCE A MERGER Not Yamana who are actually a really good company, I know their IR person very well. Meridian screwed up in company relations in weeks of the acquisition and then it was never going to be developed in the 2003-2015 Kirchner era. In that period the country was essentially run by very well heeled gangster who were only interested in what they could "Acquire" and pass on to their friends. The place was a dirt poor kleptocracy, so who would build a mine in that environment? Think the Congo with great food and fabulous wine! Agreed on the cycle argument, zinc is back, copper will be strong from 2017 when shortages kick in, as for nickel? | davidblack |
