Landore Resources powers on at the BAM East gold discovery

Landore Resources continues to deliver solid results from its BAM East gold discovery

The share price graph of Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND) makes for pleasing viewing. From June of 2016 the company’s shares have steadily risen in value, from around 2p in June to just under 3p now.

That’s perhaps not as spectacular a rise as some companies have enjoyed as commodities prices have come back in recent months, but it is a true reflection of the methodical approach the company is taking at its BAM East gold project in Canada, which is now shaping up into a major gold discovery.

The latest drilling has intersected widespread gold mineralisation near to surface very close to where previous drilling showed significant intercepts both in terms of grades and width.

BAM East is now known to extend along a strike length of 700 metres and remains open to strike, to the east and to the west and down dip.

Among the highlights from the most recent drilling were two metres at 12 grams of gold per tonne and one meter at 8.87 grams.

More results are pending, both from further drill holes and from ongoing metallurgical studies. A resource estimate is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of next year.

This news release has hardly sparked any interest, just looking at the pitiful volume of shares traded so far.

It is rather strange that twice now updates have not been included in the main news panel, The updates are only being placed here, so unless it is stumbled on then who's going to know about it?
Is it being kept low key for some reason?

· In addition, Drill hole 0416-545 drilled approximately 60m down dip to Trench 0416-01 has also intersected the same lithology together with gold mineralisation up to 1.49g/t, potentially extending the BAM East Gold Prospect to 1100 metres along strike (1600E to 2700E).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dec:5th

The BAM East Gold Prospect has now been confirmed over 700 metres of strike length and remains open down dip, to the east and to the west along strike.

Drill-hole 0416-553 was drilled to test the MM-7 geophysical conductor 200 metres along strike to the east of the Central Zone, on line 2900E. The hole successfully intersected wide spread gold mineralisation from surface in a similar lithological package to the Central Zone. A 100 metre step-back hole to 0416-553 was also completed with results pending. A 50 metre step-back to 0416-553 is planned as part of the current drilling program.

Other drilling has been completed on lines, 1000W, 1600W, 2100W, 2200W to further test the Western strike extension of the BAM East Gold Prospect together with two infill HQ holes in the central Zone. Results are pending and will be reported as soon as they are QAQC checked and collated.

LANDORE RESOURCES LIMITED

London, United Kingdom - December 5th 2016 - Landore Resources Limited
(AIM:LND) ("Landore Resources" or "the Company") is pleased to provide this
progress report on extension drilling of the BAM East Gold prospect on its
Junior Lake Property, Ontario, Canada ("BAM East Gold Prospect").

Highlights:

· Down Dip Extension: Drill-holes 0416-546 and 0416-547, drilled as step
backs to the previously reported deepest drill-holes, have extended the
Central Zone of the BAM East Gold prospect to > 250 metres down dip. The
Central Zone remains open at depth.

· Eastwards Extension: Drill-hole 0416-553, drilled 200 metres along
strike to the east of the Central Zone has intersected widespread gold
mineralisation close to surface within a similar lithological package to the
Central Zone.

· The BAM East Gold Prospect has now been confirmed over 700 metres of
strike length and remains open down dip, to the east and to the west along
strike.

Fall Drilling Campaign:

The fall drilling campaign is nearing completion with 13 (6-HQ and 7-NQ)
diamond drill holes (0416-546 to 0416-558), for 3,385 metres, having been
drilled to test the east, west and down dip extensions of the new gold zone.
Two more NQ drill holes are scheduled to be drilled to complete this
programme. To date results have been received for 5 drill holes with results
pending for the remainder.

Latest results received include the following.

* Holes 0416-546 to 549 were drilled north at 55 degrees with 0416-553 at 45
degrees into a lithological package dipping approximately 40 degrees to the
south. The actual true thickness of mineralisation is estimated to represent
between 80-85% for 0416-546 to 549 and between 85-90% for 0416-553 of the
intervals shown in the above table.

Drill holes 0416-546 to 0416-549, drilled as step-backs to previously reported
drill-holes 0416-535 and 0416-539 to 0416-541 inclusive, were aimed at
defining the down plunge direction of the Central Zone from 2300E to 2450E.
The two drill-holes at 2350E and 2400E clearly intersected the Central Zone
with multiple showings of visible gold confirming its continuation down plunge
whilst the two drill-holes at 2300E and 2450E appear to be on the periphery of
the zone.

Drill-hole 0416-553 was drilled to test the MM-7 geophysical conductor 200
metres along strike to the east of the Central Zone, on line 2900E. The hole
successfully intersected wide spread gold mineralisation from surface in a
similar lithological package to the Central Zone. A 100 metre step-back hole
to 0416-553 was also completed with results pending. A 50 metre step-back to
0416-553 is planned as part of the current drilling program.

Other drilling has been completed on lines, 1000W, 1600W, 2100W, 2200W to
further test the Western strike extension of the BAM East Gold Prospect
together with two infill HQ holes in the central Zone. Results are pending and
will be reported as soon as they are QAQC checked and collated.

Studies in progress:

Metallurgical Testing: Drill core material has been submitted to ALS
Metallurgy Kamloops of British Columbia for Gravity Concentration and
Cyanidation Bottle Roll Testing.

Borehole Surveying: DGI Geoscience of Ontario has been engaged to conduct
Borehole Surveying, using an Acoustic Televiewer, of selected drill-holes on
the Central Zone to provide true orientation of features for structural
studies and for future geotechnical studies.

Resource Estimate: Landore Resources has retained consulting engineers RPA
Inc. ("RPA") of Toronto, Canada, with the view of completing an initial
Mineral Resource estimate and NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Bam East Gold
Prospect, scheduled for completion Q1 2017.

BAM East Gold Prospect:

This new gold prospect is located approximately midway along a 2.7-kilometre
long, east-southeast to west-northwest trending MaxMin geophysical anomaly
(MM-7), at the western end of which is located the historical BAM gold zone
discovered by Landore Resources in 2003.

BAM East gold mineralisation is a typical shear-hosted gold-bearing system in
an Archaean greenstone belt. Findings from exploration drilling on the BAM
East Gold prospect has revealed a lithological sequence consisting of
leucogabbro to the south, metasedimentary rocks in the central portion, to
mafic volcanics to the north. All lithological units have been subjected to
variable shearing and deformation, markedly the metasedimentary unit.

The gold mineralisation revealed to-date is predominantly contained in the
metasediments, with some gold mineralisation occurring in the leucogabbro
rocks. Visible gold occurs within or near quartz veinlets which are controlled
by a shear system.

The wide gold mineralisation, close to surface, has potential for the initial
development to be progressed as a low cost, bulk tonnage, open pit operation.
Initial studies indicate the mineralisation to be native gold with no
sulphides associated with precious metal minerals observed to date. This would
indicate a simple processing route with excellent recovery potential.

Planned Works:

Future Drilling: Planning has commenced for a winter drill programme in Q1/Q2
2017 along 400 metres to the west of line 2450E in the Ladle Flats which is
highly-prospective to contain the near surface extension of the BAM East Gold
Prospect, as well as further drilling to test down dip and East-West strike
extension.

Few shares rise in price between RNS's, imo, unless there is expected transformational news afoot. LND look like they've stumbled on a decent amount of gold that's easy to extract, but it's still early days. Would think more assay news is due soon though.

Landore restarts drilling with a view to delivering a resource at BAM by January

Landore's BAM East gold discovery is shaping up well. Now the subject of renewed drilling, a maiden resource is expected early next year
Landore restarts drilling with a view to delivering a resource at BAM by January
There have been several significant gold intersections at BAM East already
“It’s a serious discovery,” says Bill Humphries of Landore Resources Limited (LON:LND).

He’s talking about the BAM East gold prospect at the company’s long-held Junior Lake property in Ontario.

Landore has been on the ground at Junior Lake for many years now and along the way has proved up nickel mineralisation in serious quantities at two separate deposits, B4-7 and the VW.

But the story of the discovery of the gold mineralisation at BAM East, just 2,000 metres to the east of B4-7 is the stuff of mining fairy tale.

At the end of last year, with the worst mining bear market in recent memory still wreaking havoc on junior miners, and with the nickel price especially hard hit, Landore getting ready to give up on the drill bit altogether, or at least for the foreseeable future.

At that stage it was one of only two junior miners still doing any drilling work at all in Ontario which, considering Ontario is one of the great mining jurisdictions in the world is quite something to consider.

But, with the nickel drilling wrapping up before Christmas, there was time for one last hole. And this one hit something different, and wholly unexpected – gold, in significant quantities.

Anyone curious about the significance of this last and apparently final drill hit need only take a look at Landore’s share price performance since then.

Late in January Landore hit a 10-year low of 0.51p. There was a little bit of upward drift through February and March as the mining markets in general showed renewed signs of life, but then in early April the shares suddenly leapt to just under 2p. That was when the company put out its first significant notification on the potential of BAM East.

Several more have followed as, needless to say, drilling wasn’t halted after all. The shares are now at 3.3p, up more than six times since that January low, and although there’s a lot of retail on the register now, there could be more to come.

Bill Humphries is under no illusions as to the significance of the discovery at BAM East. It’s not just his own long-years of experience in the mining industry, and in particular as one of the founders of Brancote Resources, the Aim market’s first great mining success stories.

It’s also that other parties are beginning to show an interest in BAM too.

“We’ve got a lot of people talking to us,” he says. “After we finished the first round of drilling we had people calling straight away.”

There are many reasons for that. The first, straightforwardly enough, are the grades and widths. The initial announcement of the gold mineralisation at BAM East was certainly a head turner: 40.75 metres at 1.82 grams per tonne gold, with two higher grade sections of 2.25 metres at 10.28 grams per tonne and 3 metres at 5.74 grams.

When drilling resumed later in the summer, Landore then hit 38.5 metres at 3.42 grams per tonne, with additional higher grade intercepts.

By early September the company was reporting multiple instances of visible gold and more lengthy intercepts as the outcome of the summer campaign.

Winter drilling is just getting underway now, and already the project has advanced to the stage where Humphries is talking about putting out a resource in January.

“At that point I’m confident we will be in a position to do a pre-feasibility study,” he says.

“It’s such a simple occurrence. This will be very easy to fast-track, because we’ve done all the work we need to move forward for the nickel lease. We’ve got permits to construct and we’ve got very supportive First Nations. We’ve done water studies, we’ve done wildlife, fishing – all of those.”

What’s more, when the nickel price finally does move off its current 25-year lows, the economies of scale will suddenly become plain for both projects.

“It’s the same sort of system,” says Humphries. “The crushing and milling side of things will be the same. And we’ll move on the nickel the moment the price moves up, and it doesn’t have to move up that far.”

No doubt about it though, the gold has been transformational for Junior Lake, and for Landore.

There’s a dearth of new gold projects out there and still plenty of mid-tiers and majors looking to replenish reserves. It doesn’t take a complicated analyst’s model to join up those dots.
