I notice CIU bid for today at 46% premium.
Consolidation and corporate deals in the sector are inevitable IMO

The price drops and shake out this morning, followed rapidly by a total recovery this afternoon, suggest to me that the market foresees a need for stock and has tried to scare some holders into selling, possibly in some case by triggering stop losses.

We shall see!

It used be "you can't fight the Fed"
Now it's "you can't fight the PoO"

It's completely illogical and LAM could do very well but the market is in a complete funk regarding all things to do with oil. Long term thinking is = the end of next week!

May go on some or may not - who knows.

Or more. Why stop, or even pause, at 122p?

Morning, a little resistance at 115.5p, after that
we could experience a run to 122p, dyor.

After reading this article, it shows we are really in the right place,
but imho we will be bought out very soon, dyor.

Yes I feel we have turned the corner, could even draw
out a larger investor that wants to be part of the deal
and buys Lamprell to get it, dyor.

Last part.

The deal will not only improve earnings visibility, but
will boost the group's regional profile. Meanwhile the
commercial tie-up with Aramco should lead to further work
on other projects. Hold.

Lamprell is one of four partners in a “transformational” $5.2 billion joint venture that opens up a potentially lucrative entry into the industry’s most important market.

I could hardly be accused of impartiality but I remain amazed that you can still buy this at under 120p.
I think people are just running from everything to do with oil.

Just suppose that the price here was £5 (giving a market cap of £1.7Bn) would that be ridiculous for an entity (a) piles of cash (b) a very good UAE business (c) a 20% exposure to a $5Bn KSA flagship investment?

And all this in the most low cost oil producing geographical area.

Not many posts here but all I can see is postives from this announcement.

Plenty of time to to get in tomorrow as the share price started to drop towards the end of the day presumably on the back of the sector in general in advance of tonight's report on oil
