25/11/2022 11:41 | Its funny to read about it being tipped in Investors Chronicle. Simon Thompson has been promoting it for years but its been a complete disaster. It shouldn't give anyone much confidence in their predictions. | estienne
21/11/2022 08:32 | I think this will settle at a 50% discount to brokers fair value of 26p. Should remain around the 13p level for a while imo | aqc888
19/11/2022 18:04 | Tipped in Investors Chronicle Brokers fair value forecast 26p and 27p GLA IMHO DYOR | strategicinvestor2
18/11/2022 15:23 | There was no evidence to suggest that was happening, e.g. negotiations with governments etc., and it was probably pure guesswork by the company. Perhaps they should have given more consideration to the wording of their announcement. However, given the UK government development contract, they might have announced that if the programme is successful, they fully expect to receive UK orders and roll out the commercialisation of the system internationally. That would have been the best way to inform the market, in my view. | helicopterflyer
17/11/2022 10:37 | Helicopter, valid points and I agree rewards would be huge and new technology needs further research… However, we were told it worked as accurately as a pcr, trials all went brilliantly and to expect sales by April past. | aqc888
17/11/2022 09:12 | The bio-detection system is still under development but has shown enough efficacy to warrant further research leading to commercialisation, perhaps sometime after 2024. It's still not certain if it will become a viable platform, but the rewards for getting it right must be enormous. In the meantime, Kromek will hopefully continue to progress in the nuclear and medical detection markets. | helicopterflyer
16/11/2022 17:17 | Who knows what’s going on?! I’m grateful I got out at 16p and then again 13.5p (without a loss) before the share price plunged. Today I took a small chunk at 8.6p, since I no longer feel Kromek are doomed to administration. I feel there’s a strong possibility of a fundraising in the near future. and that will be the optimum point that it will be best to invest at. However, the potential for Kromek to move sharply upwards is now greater than the chance of it moving sharply downwards in my opinion. Undoubtedly high risk though. | aqc888
16/11/2022 16:44 | ACQ: No, not: "to ‘develop’ Rather: "to develop and supply biological threat detection systems." A pretty wide brief! Also perhaps form factor(s) come into it. | hew
16/11/2022 10:29 | Very interesting, initially I was impressed that Kromeks biological pathogen detector had proof it worked, with a government order for it, and the very real prospect of future government orders from around the world. However, it appears the £5m is to ‘develop’ We have been told the detector works superbly by Kromek. So I’m a little confused why they need more money to develop it? The mystery regarding the status of this detector still persists… | aqc888
16/11/2022 09:12 | Well done Kromek, very nice news. However this will be the positive news that the company was waiting for before coming to market for the overdue equity raise. So new and existing shareholders beware. I'm not holding any position here, so just posting because I love you guys (!) from my 2 years of being a shareholder and don't want you to get hurt. | charlie_bucket
16/11/2022 07:50 | £5m biological threat-detection contract award (new research note by Equity Development with audio summary: Kromek Group has announced the award of a three-year UK Government department biological threat-detection programme contract worth £4.9m. Work on the contract is scheduled to commence in December 2022; the three-year term includes an option for extended maintenance-related services. This is a significant contract and a clear ratification of the development work undertaken by Kromek, focused on the detection of biohazards which include the recent COVID-19 pandemic, but also extend to the development of systems capable of identifying and geo-locating other biological threats. In an environment currently absorbed by a variety of economic and geopolitical risks, the threat represented by natural or man-made biological agents has not diminished. On the 10th November, Kromek added that it expects revenue growth of “approximately 45% for the six months to 31 October 2022. The latest, £5m, biohazard detection contract, adds to this momentum. Our FY23 outlook remains unchanged at £18.0m revenue, +49%YoY (E), EBITDA (adj.) of £0.3m, and a reduced EBIT loss of (£4.3m) vs FY22: (£5.5m). We also retain our Fair Value at 26p/share. | edmonda
16/11/2022 07:36 | Another contract won worth £5m.Their 2nd this month alone. The next trading update should be very upbeat. | z1co
16/11/2022 07:18 | RNSKromek awarded GBP5m biological threat-detection contract by UK Government Department | susiebe
10/11/2022 08:33 | Interim revenue only £4.7m last year, so £2.1m increase at margin of 47% = £1m extra PBT which would take it to EBITDA slightly positive for the half. But heavily weighted to the 2nd half. | 18bt
10/11/2022 07:32 | Revenue up 45% hidden in a RNS this morning | dicktrade
31/10/2022 21:36 | Is this the last gasps of a dying company? Or will there be another spike? | aqc888
19/10/2022 08:02 | Still no director buying at these low low prices | aqc888
18/10/2022 16:23 | All quiet again after yesterdays little flurry of trades. Back to sleep? | mortimer7
18/10/2022 08:45 | doug re 6437 "..... I'm here until the company matures and pays a dividend, which might be 5 to 15 years " -there are other possible/more likely outcomes as well. all imo. dyor. qp | quepassa
18/10/2022 08:19 | Wonders never cease. Just received an email from team Kromek thanking me for my product enquiry which I sent 2 years ago. Not exactly Amazon are they. Apparently they will be in touch. Can’t wait literally | earwacks
17/10/2022 23:26 | Fair enough ArK87, I see that, for you, Boomboy and even/maybe QuePassa (who I'm assuming was once a holder from some time ago). Opening up your ADVFN monitor after going out for a few drinks (me) is probably not the best strategy. I think my comment was aimed at those who were once ramping this stock and have done a complete (Truss style) 180 and are now merrily bashing it. I'm happy to admit my comment was a bit out of order to very long term holders. But for those who have done a 180 in their beliefs, I think they need to move on. I do think more patience is required. For folk like me who have been here about 3 years, another 3 at least. To be honest, I'm here until the company matures and pays a dividend, which might be 5 to 15 years. I'm confident in the technology here. For those who have been here 9 years, agreed, much harder to continue to be patient. I'm still not convinced bashing Basu is the way forward. | dougmachin
17/10/2022 22:58 | Kromek has had the same dismal record for years though. It doesn’t seem to stop the price spiking upwards every now and then based on some speculation. Could well see some exuberance return, the risks of investing are definitely higher now than ever before IMO though. Watching with interest, lack of details about the value of sales to spectrum today is a little strange. At least it’s not another dreaded “upto” though! | aqc888 |
