Wonders never cease. Just received an email from team Kromek thanking me for my product enquiry which I sent 2 years ago. Not exactly Amazon are they. Apparently they will be in touch. Can’t wait literally

Fair enough ArK87, I see that, for you, Boomboy and even/maybe QuePassa (who I'm assuming was once a holder from some time ago).
Opening up your ADVFN monitor after going out for a few drinks (me) is probably not the best strategy.
I think my comment was aimed at those who were once ramping this stock and have done a complete (Truss style) 180 and are now merrily bashing it.
I'm happy to admit my comment was a bit out of order to very long term holders. But for those who have done a 180 in their beliefs, I think they need to move on.
I do think more patience is required. For folk like me who have been here about 3 years, another 3 at least. To be honest, I'm here until the company matures and pays a dividend, which might be 5 to 15 years. I'm confident in the technology here. For those who have been here 9 years, agreed, much harder to continue to be patient. I'm still not convinced bashing Basu is the way forward.

Kromek has had the same dismal record for years though. It doesn’t seem to stop the price spiking upwards every now and then based on some speculation. Could well see some exuberance return, the risks of investing are definitely higher now than ever before IMO though. Watching with interest, lack of details about the value of sales to spectrum today is a little strange. At least it’s not another dreaded “upto” though!

You need to look at the balance sheet. Plenty of cash to collect from debtors, and stock to turn into debtors for cash - all within their 2 1/2 year cash cycle. Have to ask why aren't debtors paying them ?????

Doing the opposite of Questor usually pays off. Given Kromeks dire situation it’s confusing why they haven’t cut staff or attempted cost savings. It does make me wonder whether they have got something in the bag. Surely to get the most recent x2 small loans they must have shown something promising, or maybe the lenders secured it on Kromeks assets? Who knows? Surprised it’s held on to 8p for so long. Watching with great interest what happens next.

Is kmk worth £35 million? Nobody really knows. Nobody really knows what the cash burn rate is either but every time they have a raise they seem to spend it in double quick time and no idea what the current cash position is or liabilities. They took a massive hit a couple of years back on a Chinese deal which partly explains the first dip but really just compounded the situation.
As far aa newspaper and magazine tips go usual best to do the exact opposite of whatever they recommend. Stockopedia did some research into broker forecasts, recommendations, director buy/sells and other nonsense and rag tips came off worst by a country mile. Don’t know why quest or would single out aim stock in particular. Certainly there is more rubbish stock on aim but why would you buy rubbish stock in the first place, because newspapers tipped them?Liquidity and cash management applies to any company big or small.pretty much crunch time for kmk. If they can’t stand on their own feet after all this time they probably never will. I can’t imagine the market will give them any more money which they undoubtedly will need again at some point. Although I did say that last time and the time before that. Loan notes for £ 3 million in august for possible supply chain shortage? That was clever. If they can’t actually now make anything I guess that could see them through to next spring. They even got Rishi Sunak to visit their factory I seem to remember. Has been a decent trading stock but I think that particular trick has been overplayed now

The article is subscription only, so if someone wouldn't mind pasting it in, it would be much appreciated. I wonder what "the exercise we carried out on Tuesday to our Aim stocks" was.

Thanks for posting, but it didn't really answer the question. For sure revenue means nothing if you're losing money, but revenue is increasing and at some point they will become cash flow positive. Their order book is now at its highest ever. Is it high enough? No idea. Sustainable? No idea. Just trying to get to grips with the basic fact. Thanks.

Yes, Questor has pulled the plug on Kromek and says SELL in an article dated 7/10/22.

Extract:-

"But we should also extend the exercise we carried out on Tuesday to our Aim stocks and rid ourselves of any that look ill placed to survive what looks likely to be a tough few months with their share prices intact."

We will therefore reluctantly pull the plug on Kromek, Tekmar, Naked Wines and Boohoo.com."

I'm still eyeing these for a (possible) entry point.

Here are the annual revenues that KMK has achieved since flotation.

Year £m

2013 2.691
2014 5.972
2015 8.101
2016 8.342
2017 8.968
2018 11.845
2019 14.517
2020 13.12
2021 10.352
2022 12.055

Why the dip in 2020 and 2021? Purely pandemic related, or were there other factors? Thanks.

Looks like the market-makers are struggling to keep the price over 8p.

Judging by the overwhelming volume of sales versus buys shown today by advfn, that may prove to be a futile struggle.

If the share price breaches 8p, may potentially trigger a barrage of stop-losses which could spike price down further.

It’s been very quite for a while. I predict that they will sell part of the business to keep the remaining part going for a few more years. Of course, this will be sold as a great win for shareholders, because now they will be more focused and in a brilliant cash position to fully focus and grow their core high growth, high potential remaining part of the business. Blah blah blah. But, it will of course, just be a way to buy more time. Like every other fundraising in Kromeks long history of fundraisings. But I could be wrong - I’d give it a 10% chance of some big order coming in. I’m not risking my capital (like the directors aren’t risking theirs at 8p) with this risk though. Very glad I exited my remaining stake at 13.5p

I’d give it a 10% chance of Kromek pulling off a decent order for it biological pathogen detectors. Firstly I’m not convinced it works. Secondly I don’t think they’ve ever managed to push sales successfully. Why they have never done a public demonstration on the news or to a science journal is beyond me. They’ve presented bits of evidence that it works, but I suspect the device has a flaw which prevents it working fully in the field.
