Amazed there has not been rumours of a bid surrounding this stock at current levels, always thought Home Depot would jump at the chance to acquire the leading European DIY chain, even with uncertainties in certain markets, they are not going to prevail indefinately!

Homebase are closing stores due to the fact they cannot compete
on price and range of products with B&Q,
but who in turn are not taking advantage of outrageous
prices quoted by retail kitchen suppliers, ie John Lewis 700QUID
for a f/f housing unit (two side panels, plus two doors)
MFI would have done this for under 100quid

B&Q need bigger displays, plus an upmarket range
with a like for like products comparison as Wren Kitchens

imported german units costing 200quid are retailed in UK at up to 600quid each
fancy TV's ad's are not enough, a massive market out there for the taking
when pensioners start taking cash lump sums next april, this will be biggest
profitable growth area

most statements have been looking forward the share buyback they may not be finished ,the new CEO, the cash surplus the market does not know what the results will be ,they don't know how France's diy COs will perform because France is not doing well does not reflect some COs results ,Peugeot,Renault,Michelin,Carrefour, big French COs doing reasonably well

The market is looking forward, not back.

The next update is this month and France generates
the bulk of profits.

U would think home base closing 25% of their stores would have a good effect on this share price unless investors /MMs are 2 steps behind the real world

Thanks 84steward that is why I will not get dividends if I will buy shares on or after ex dividend day. Its been a while since I hold shares during these periods. And again LSE changed some dividend policy a month ago.

Thanks sr2day, I thought so too, then I read their results and got confused again: "The interim ordinary dividend will be paid on 14 November 2014 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 10 October 2014."

Constantine, they went exdiv on Thursday, meaning if you buy on thursday onwards you do not get the dividend that is going to be paid on 14 of nov 2014 which is 3.15p.

Yes you will, the question is when will they start and that is a matter of when do the shares go ex divi. Look at the announcements, I think divi entitlement is based on when you bought the shares and not on the settlement date but I could be wrong there.

Somebody else more knowledgable than me will have to help you, alternatively you could try phoning your broker if he is the type to be helpfull.
