16/10/2012 15:06 | Afternon EI, been very lucky with SMDS... BRSN doing fine as well. I do like Screwfix here but not convinced with B&Q - bit of a dilemma :-) | philanderer
16/10/2012 11:04 | Well Phil you have done well recently buying a couple of companies in the euro area, so you do not need any tips from me in this sector of the market - your view may be a better assessment than mine. | essentialinvestor
16/10/2012 10:13 | mixed bag today.. 16th october UBS buy tp 300p 16th october Credit Suisse outperform tp 330p 16th october S&P Equity strong sell tp 250p 16th october Citigroup buy tp 330p | philanderer
15/10/2012 22:16 | Evening EI, good advice I reckon.... I`ve put that 29th november update in the calendar :-) | philanderer
15/10/2012 22:03 | Wait for the November update, just imv - France has largely driven group profitability over the last 2-3 years. | essentialinvestor
15/10/2012 21:59 | Can`t make my mind up on KGF :-) French business erupts in fury against "disastrous" Hollande France is sliding into a grave economic crisis and risks a full-blown "hurricane" as investors flee rocketing tax rates, the country's business federation has warned. | philanderer
10/10/2012 09:17 | sicker, France appears to be slowing quickly and a large % of KGF's profits are from the French market. I would be very cautious until the late November IMS, just imv. That will give an up to date read on France post election. | essentialinvestor
09/10/2012 13:18 | Looking good into the run up to tomorrow's ex-div:-) | sicker
28/9/2012 08:05 | France is really a key market for KGF and the French economy looks to be slowing very quickly as per the latest unemployment figures yesterday. | essentialinvestor
26/9/2012 07:23 | Further downgrades on the way?. | essentialinvestor
21/9/2012 10:42 | The focus at the the Interims appeared to be on a number of potentially one off factors that impacted profitability. The November update will be very telling IMV, as the focus will now be fully on the latest L4L numbers and margins. | essentialinvestor
12/9/2012 13:53 | Looks like full year forecasts are being scaled back to about £750k pre tax, as posted last week £800k looked too optimistic to me. £750k pre tax may go the way way imv. | essentialinvestor
12/9/2012 07:45 | Asia?, they only have a handful of stores left in China. | essentialinvestor
12/9/2012 07:20 | Looking more and more vulnerable to bid from Home Depot, mer change for them to buy the largest home improvement co. in Europe, with a prescence to boot in Asia! | bookbroker
11/9/2012 21:14 | Likelihood that tomorrow's statement will not suggest conditions in the home improvement will not have improved very much since the last IMS., however they will maintain that through tight control of costs that guidance will be either retained or at worse a mere smidgeon lower, it will be interesting nonetheless to see the statement to see if forecasts can be maintained, although the recent price falls suggest much is already baked in. Much will depend on the clearance of summer stock, obviously at a lower margin due to promotional activity, however this is really the only real player in this country so with an improving housing market it is possible they might surprise. | bookbroker
11/9/2012 20:57 | Not that brave Es, it's not that big a holding :-) | sicker
11/9/2012 16:29 | Brave doubling your holding before a very key update. France was growing strongly on L4L sales during 2011, is that going to be the case over the next 18 months?. | essentialinvestor
11/9/2012 16:17 | Good luck tomorrow people. Hope today was not a pre-cursor. | barlick
11/9/2012 13:17 | I have just doubled my holding so look out for rubbish update tomorrow :-) | sicker
11/9/2012 08:01 | Interims tomorrow, France numbers will be interesting. | essentialinvestor
30/8/2012 18:53 | Full year pre tax consensus is not far off £800 million, that looks a tad optimistic to me. | essentialinvestor
30/8/2012 08:14 | 30 Aug Kingfisher PLC KGF Citigroup Buy 275.15 274.50 300.00 330.00 Upgrades | libertine
28/8/2012 13:42 | 28 Aug Kingfisher PLC KGF Bank of America Merrill Lynch Underperform 273.45 285.70 330.00 270.00 Downgrades | libertine
28/8/2012 13:37 | I was very suprised KGF traded at the levels reached a few weeks back. No matter how good the company is some of their main markets are looking incresingly tough, just imv. | essentialinvestor |
