18/2/2011 10:38 | Home Depot now on 17x 2012 estimates, Kingfisher on 11.5 x, even before you allow for the net cash. Home Depot does not have European exposure, what a nice acquisition KGF would make in my view. Regardless og this, expect KGF to be re-rated. | essentialinvestor
18/2/2011 08:59 | Beginning to perk up, getting some deserved Press attention today. Although many have yet to discover the growth potential here imv, and fully grasp the cashflow and growth potential. | essentialinvestor
17/2/2011 18:20 | Kingfisher have gone from debt of nearly £300 M at the last year end, to net cash of over £200 Million in less than 12 months. Even allowing for higher CAPEX, net cash should be approaching £800-850 M at the end of '11. To appreciate the cash generation of the business, net debt was 1.5 Billion in year end 2008. Add the net cash to the near £3 Billion in property assets, and this is beginning to look very good value in my view. The huge cash generation of the new Kingfisher model, is currently underestimated and undervalued imo. | essentialinvestor
17/2/2011 12:59 | OB, I agree with you. For KGF to say that results will be at the top end of expectations, given the December conditions, is a superb achievement. The PER now comes down rapidly with the Full years results, plus a significant raising of the dividend to come, making this much more attractive to income seekers. Home Depot sells on just under 17x on 2012 numbers, Kingfisher approx 11x. You may find some of the US funds begin to switch, increasing their KGF holdings imv. The US funds are the main holders, would make a fantastic fit for Home Depot as well, if they want European exposure.. | essentialinvestor

28/12/2010 11:50 | isnt there a process where all shoppers will eventually be required to pay for packaging. | the_profit
28/12/2010 11:33 | Maybe a sale at B & Q, but don't forget the 5p for a bag, after your purchases. | guru11
27/12/2010 12:32 | Went to the Yeading store of B & Q and spent £18.82 on 8 brackets and a packet of screws and when I asked for a bag they wanted to screw me 5p for a bag. And there was no sale on brackets or screws - in fact I thought they were overpriced. How bad is this - 5p for a bag after spending £18.82 in store. Management want a kicking for this policy. | guru11
