Aimchimp but you also speak like you know facts. Your trying I think your damn hardest to put a negative spin on anything kibo does, the recent changes will have affected lots of mining companies, how many other threads have you talked? Hmmmm I fear none, you seem to have a unhealthy obsession with kibo, you obviously have an agenda do you think that your are fooling anyone by attempting to write English incorrectly. Not sure what your trying to achieve there. All I know is that Louis had meetings in June with all government departments prior to the changes in the law, now why would he have done that? He may not have known fully the extent of magafulis plans but then again this is a slight set back for the mining industry but will assist kibo in concurrent negotiations whilst they are pre paring the PPA, the new laws can be drafted in.

Lurker I stated before I do not know how funding will play out but dnt be surprised when Louis pulls out an ace from up his sleeve. There are many differing opinions and it's best that we see how this plays out or when any funding news appears we will be able to digest this and see how it affects kibo. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but at least lurker doesn't spam the threads unlike some hey mr chimp.

Also mr aim chimp, why do you feel the need to continue posting and spamming every thread repeating yourself in the hope of what? People to sell up because an anonymous person on advfn said So? Really think whatever your gripe with Louis Coetzee, or coal or Tanzania, you need to seek help because I say this and should be taken as it's saidIf those of you who are shorting this the time is coming when that short may be one of the worst decisions of your lives. I stand by Louis Coetzee, how far he has brought the company, who he has onboard, and this will play out. The smart money is slowly moving in on weakness of those who want to leave. Louis Coetzee has been doing business in Tanzania for the last 20 years and is well respected. I'll leave it at that mr chimp.

Here's a reminder of some of my posts from earlier this month"I feel more relaxed knowing Louis Coetzee is at the helm steering us as I write this through the stormy weather that is the Tanzania government. We will soon be seeing blue rays. Have trust and faith that Louis Coetzee will steer us towards financial freedom"

Actually Dudleym1975 that is a very fair point - let the invested remain excited & come gloat if we called it wrong... every indication is we called it correct and agreed desperation with Lurker /Tiddler, Chimp etc is just that with a capital D

Lurker things are looking better for kibo. Dnt understand why you people just wnt admit that.Lc cannot be claiming talks and meetings with the government for them not to be true. You really are coming across reeking of desperation. You just do not want to see this succeed. If this goes pear shaped then I will only blame myself not you or anyone else. So please just be happy for the people invested here and if it goes wrong by all means come on here and say i told you so.

A good post by Sonic ? - Knock me down wiv a feather !- Not
Sonic doesn't realise that an 'equity' investment by a 'big hitter' has always been an absolute essential here. Any other project by now would have had its 'big hitter' cornerstone investor for months if not years by the stage MCPP should have reached. Which it hasn't - a couple of years after LC said - in full hearing of all after being asked to repeat what it meant - "Financial Close within months" - That was nearly three years ago.
And what do the clappies think an 'equity' investment (including from all the others they hope will roll up) is ? Why ! its someone putting up the capex in return for a commensurate share in the project - and all its cash flows and profits (subject to adjustment for loans). If Kibo wants a share of the profits and the equity its going to have to put up the cash. No-one, including GE (does he think GE is green behind its ears ?) is going to give Kibo (and the clappy shareholders) a free ride. So Kibo is going to have to issue a lot of new shares to raise the dosh. But the clappies of course have never heard of, let alone understood, 'dilution'. !
Allowing for which, the only hope for shares much higher than 10-12p is that Kibo can separate and keep for its shareholders its coal mine - separate from the low profit margin power station - if ever it gets built - if ever investors aren't put off by Magufuli's shenanegans. But LC has always seemed to imply that the project has to be 'integrated' - which means the two are combined for the purposes of assessing the return on investment Tanz will allow - while obtaining as cheap a tariff as possible - and therefore the terms by which equity will be raised - maybe from the likes of GE. GE and the 'equity' investors will probably insist the coal mine is legally part of MCPP in order to ensure the required 27 years coal supply. If so, bang goes that chance of a higher share price. But as usual LC doesn't share with his shareholders that vital piece of any thinking he might have. No wonder the selling continues from someone obviously not a clappy.

Good post by Sonic:s0n1cb00mb0y 3,509 postsRE: Equity StakesI remember some time ago LC making the comment that partner like GE, Sepco III and Tractebel are 'in the trenches' with KIBO regarding the MCPP. LC has always been very relaxed about funding and we were told this week we have several formal expressions of interest as to equity funding the MCPP. We have ABSA Barclays on board and part of their mandate was to find investors into the project. There could easily be new multinational investors out there willing to invest but it seems obvious that given the information GE and SEPCO are privy to, it makes sense for them to invest. I mean think about it, surely only those with enough confidence and knowledge would invest prior to any certification. Who and why? Well, surely that's obvious...Also, if you look back at LCs history, why disclose the offers of equity? Only one reason, an announcement is coming regarding this formal interests becoming a reality. IMO.

Perhap you should open your eye guitargimp I have already said I am not having a position here. Perhaps if you did that it would make you see that it not looking very rosy at all."Forget Katora as its worthless to us. Forget Haneti as it needs funding and no-one will fund it until we prove that we can make a success of the MCPP. So it all rides on the MCPP, without that the whole project is dead in the water. The MCPP needs a licence to mine, the government wont give us one. They have instead chosen to allow us to dangle with no licence by saying they will look into it. LC is no being straight with us, he knows it may or may not come but cant say it as that will kill the share price The licence could come today, it may never come. I wrote to LC asking what the plan B was if the licence never came. He did not reply. You can take from that either he likes ignoring me or doesn't have a plan B. That means the whole project is dangling on a thread waiting to see if we get a licence. This is why I truly think that obtaining the licvence will spring us way past 15 pence as it unlocks the future in terms of mcpp, katora and haneti and allows people to look at the size of the project that can happen. The government are irrational and backward, hence why they have no electric in 2017 and are messing around in a 3rd world country. Its all to play for here but for those who piled in at near 10 pence its a disaster story unfolding. For those who bought millions at 5 pence in recent weeks they certainly called it wrong in the short term whilst we sat at 4pence the other day. Summary here is the nailed on licence is no longer nailed on, the whole project hangs by a thread but could soar on licence news which literally could arrive today or any day. I suspect we will see some massive buys arriving ahead of any good nerws so as always follow the money. GLA"
