The firm, which provides technical services to the video games industry, expects sales of £132m and profits of £19.9m this year.

Berenberg has increased its price target by 20p to 2040p."

I notice broker targets were 1700, 1865 and 2020 even before the comfortably ahead update. Could a slow burn breakout be upon us after a consolidation phase?

Another thing to keep in mind is that 5 months ago Andrew Day (CEO) said that ‘acquisitions within the gaming industry are still at an early stage’ and also that, for KWS, ‘expansion beyond games into e.g. e-learning, film and T.V etc remains part of our longer term road map - and we do already have some clients there’.

So no shortage of ambition then!

Intraday confirmed min tp currently at recent historical resistance, approx 1640

Longer term an eod close above the ath, approx 1700, confirms a tp approx 1880

The reaction to today's news suggests to me that there is more institutional interest in KWS than PI interest, which is unusual for a company that has grown so dramatically and potentially a positive.

I love to see the phrase "comfortably ahead of consensus market expectations" :o))

Plus much optimism for the future. And almost €50m of cash and facilities for more acquisitions too, so loads of headroom for more news flow to come.

KWS appear to have developed the perfect strategy for the times, given this from today's RNS:

"As games are becoming bigger and are higher definition, game developers are increasingly relying upon co-development arrangements with companies like Keywords to provide them with broader capability to develop both initial games and ongoing content and features post-launch."
