Based on my little knowledge of gold resources, these numbers look pretty good. See if the seller returns on the good news.GLA

Recovery, How big do you think the Pilbara resource will be? Dave seemed pretty bullish in the recent video interview and they have a lot of targets. Looking at the strike length and parallel targets, I suspect they could get to over 5M oz.

50000m is a lot of drilling to get in this season and the resource could expand quite quickly.

The small fundraise in the middle of October 2017 should keep us going for a year according to Dave, cash burn is very low, things just ticking over awaiting the Togo licence and CAI share price appreciation as drilling progresses.

I recently bought a small stake in AAU. I am expecting a quarterly update next week. Hopefully it will be as expected regarding production quantities in both Au and Ag. Recent rises in the market price of both should then propel AAU share price forward. I am already slightly ahead on my AAU buy, having covered the spread and dealing costs with a little profit to spare. If AAU really takes off on a better than expected announcement, I may sell later next month and buy more KRS.

KRS should produce its annual report sometime next month (it is normally Feb when it comes out, though they have until 31 Mar to produce it)

I am expecting the annual accounts to show a very significant profit on disposal of KRS Australia to CAI. I expect that profit to wipe out most, if not all, retained losses. This will not be a cash generating profit though and will only add to non current assets in the balance sheet. I also expect a firm commitment to be made to distribute CAI shares to KRS shareholders, once out of escrow in just under 18 months time.

CAI share price has not reacted to recent Au price rises. This is unsurprising as production is so far into the future, current price is totally irrelevant and there is not a PFS NPV based on an assumed long term Au price to compare NPV at current price to.

KRS TOGO Cobalt is completely irrelevant, as it is so early stage and there is no cash to fund development and no guarantee that should money be spent proving up the asset a mining licence would be granted.

KRS TOGO Mn is potentially a game changer. If / when the licence is granted, provided funding can be raised for initial production, then in about 6-9 months KRS could be cash generative.

At the moment, and this will still be the case post annual report production, KRS is burning cash, has a tiny amount of cash and has no way of getting more cash other than issuing more equity. Another placing is inevitable at some stage. If the TOGO Mn licence comes through, then the fund raise for that should cover KRS PLC costs too and it should be done at a much higher price than current. Even without the Mn licence, I would hope that the annual report, provided it is as I expect, will drive a rerate. Sellers should clear quickly, though there are a large number of warrants which could be exercised and sold. These are all at higher prices than current and it is possible that they may provide enough cash to defer the placing until much later. If the market just shrugs at the annual report and we do not see a rerating, then I will investigate how I can take part in the next placing.

I held AAZ for years, my concern is their lack of oxide reserves and why that means for production 2 years out.

HZM need a much higher Ni price IMO.

In smallcaps, by far the standout gold play is AAZ. Throwing off cash, reducing debt and asset base improving at a considerable rate. I will put together a note over the coming days.

Incidentally, I too hold HZM.

Modform, have a look at AAU (Ariana Resources) they are a gold producer/Explorer with assets and main operations in turkey in the hot maiden gold corridor a stones throw from where MARL (Mariana) used to operate and you may be familiar with what happened to their share price prior to being bought out 😉 NAI, DYOR but an exciting gold play IMHO. (I am invested in both KRS and AAU)

YasX, my own view is that 2018 maybe a good year for gold, do you know any other stocks that have cheap gold resources like KRS. I must say, this is a new area for me, as I normally don't invest in explorers, but I have come to the conclusion that some resources are so cheap that risk/reward maybe in one's favour. Another explorer I have a small position in is HZM because of Nickel exposure and the amount of Nickel used in batteries for electric cars.

I agree GD , Togo asset is huge, but I can not believe it has taken so long for the politics to influence getting a license.

YasX, I sold most on Dec 18, because of poor reaction to sp, after such good news. I wasn't sure where the share price would settle, but building a position now.

I am pretty confident we have a floor at these levels, and the seller doesn't seem willing to sell at anything below the current share price

Togo is the icing on the cake but based on CAI alone the current share price should be double what it is now imo.

Cheers

Modform,

Was not even remotely offended - I only recently post the news in December and subsequent decline have been building a position. I was merely baffled by your previous post, hence the remark.

You are right, it is thinly traded, and although I expect gold to decline in the near term since sentiment is rather high, with a transient prop for the dollar I expect gold to climb much higher in the months ahead once a near term correction is done. I therefore expect KRS to do rather well since both fundamentally (underpinned by the Calidus stake)and from a charting perspective it looks jolly good.

Yasx, I was expecting a better reaction to share price on that news, when it didn't come , I sold, because I wasn't sure where tge share price would settle. This is a snip at these prices , so I am building a position at these level, as my order was rejected even at 0.33p. We seem to have a floor at 0.3pI know the potential here and met DR and liked his honesty. So we have good asset and management , just hoping the seller clears soon.Apologies no offence was intended GL

Modform,

It is no requirement to indicate when or if one has sold, save that if you make recent statements such as the one below, one would expect that you would have so declared rather than indicating that you (allegedly) sold at a level higher than where we are. I really do not see the point of you now mentioning that you sold previously when your commentary indicates to the contrary.

Be that as it may, I continue to consider this a good opportunity. Not sure the identity of the seller, but will seek to ascertain the same.

The market is certainly asleep, one to buy and forget, and trust DR to deliver

Surely it can't be the overhang from their last placing since it was such a tiny sum they raised, £200k or so from memory. I would have thought all that stock to be gone by now.

mariana resources is a prime example of a good gold project which eventually delivered multiple returns for those patient to hold on - this just isn't on the radar yet but fundamentals always wins in the end and now a good time to load up whilst it is quiet
