I think anyone who follows the company can visit the web site. Have you anything to say regarding the content? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsAVKiic-hI

Oh ok then - so they been in country for near 20 years; spent $1.2 billion and here we are, today, for the probably first time ever, we get told about an EIA or EIS for a road (yes a road/ not a mine) and a few of the lads are getting twitchy about an Environmental Approval. FFS - how stupid are you donkeys !! The bigger issue or concern here is that the company feels that an Environmental Approval is sufficiently newsworthy - that suggests to me that there isn’t much in the tank to report for the next reasonable while .... KMR mgmt never ever ever previously discussed much about EIA or EIS - until now. Think it through please lads ....... (and when you do, it isn’t a great outcome - sadly).

They wouldn't have been refused. There's a symbiotic relationship between the company and gov.mz (1400+ MZ employees). Worst case would have been some conditions to have been met. Absolute worst case, plant could have been moved by sea.

@murraybasin - how would they have been set had it been refused?

I don't think they were in a panic to start the road yet. Getting WCP-C up and running is the current priority and next major milestone outside of regular reporting.

@donkey40 - with the previous approval back in May, this 2nd and final one seems pretty key to me. They've been unable to progress the road beyond the existing mining permit area until they got it. Another 23km of road to construct. I've seen - as I'm sure you have - a great many RNS's of less import than that. To describe it as "..Totally taken for granted.." is a nonsense. A good many projects fail for lack of final approval.

Amazing Statement - and your point is ... The joy of BBs is we get to read all these Corporate Affairs or IR constructed pieces of progress information to spin out usually at times when other relevant or good news is in short supply. So an Environmental Approval, whilst totally necessary to the natural progression of real world Operational, Administrative or Financial progress, really is one of those which must happen, is important, but is taken totally for granted by investors who by and large are desperately keen to see real meaningful progress rather than yet more boxes in the Long list of process steps being ticked off....

And an RNS: "Statement from Michael Carvill, Managing Director: "The road ESHIA is the second and final environmental approval required for the relocation of WCP B to Pilivili. We are on track to relocate WCP B in Q3 2020 and begin commissioning in Q4 2020. Pilivili is the highest grade ore zone in Kenmare's portfolio and from 2021 we expect to have increased production and become a first quartile margin producer." "

Who said anything about tax loss selling? This is not about B&B transactions; they happen at calendar year end. I'm talking about selling shares to pay a tax BILL (come due November) or potentially to put the funds into a pension to offset a tax BILL and at that stage they could put them back into KMR, for example, within a PRSA. When the filing date comes around, sometimes guys have to make choices.

I'd be looking for several things: - End of tax year and people shifting funds/stocks around either to meet tax liabilities, fund pension contributions, ... - Any general sectoral weakness - Continued selling down by EIB As to prices, wouldn't focus too much on the individual prices. Out turn is likely to be of the order of revenue $260m with costs $160m and EBITDA $100m. Someone is slowly chipping away at the available stock without trying to attract attention to themselves. Gross debt should now not be far off $40m + loose change.

Expecting Kenmare to report solid progress in Q4 & FY 2019 Production Report & FY 2020 Guidance release due around 10 January. So what’s the drop about?

Playful git alright. Moderately smart but highly egotistical persona with some ingrained poor behaviors and habits which could be used to bring him down.
