Iluka seem to be doing their DD while the company are still solvent with a view to buying them from the receiver.

Why buy now. It must be cheaper when they go bust.

As with many of my investments bought before the present crash in
mining and exploration stocks, it is clear that even if I hold on
for a recovery I will never get my money back. I keep saying that
this can never fall from it's recent lows...it must have reached the bottom...
and I am always wrong......I average down on 30 stocks, that had "bottomed" and they have all fallen a further 50% since their recent lows.

One commentator says...

"The bulletin boards and the Daily Telegraph report that a large institutional share sale was responsible for yesterday’s price fall.

In today’s “we don’t know what’s going on” statement from the company, they disclose that potential bidder Iluka (ILU-ASX) has conducted due diligence visits to both Mozambique and Dublin."

30 per cent to the average trading rpice over 3 months would give a takeout
price of what....?

Certainly not what I would be looking for.

Default time is Jan 31st, you are 18 days premature, but correct on the most likely outcome, over on LSE default is being mentioned but there are also some stupid optimists.

On December 9th 2014 I predicted that at its prevailing rate of decline at that time the share price would reach 0p on or around January 13th 2015. Sadly we are still on course for that to come to fruition. If ever there was a time for an extremely large cat, this is surely it. Remember: it's not over until the Fat Dead Cat bounces!

New low, end game looks imminent. The poster called 'Resourceful' should change name. These idiots had a takeover at a multiple of this price and turned it down. Explain that 1 to us ?

Hole in the ground with a Carvill at the top is worse although I'm suspicious of those who claim to have got out at 60 p, there are not many of those around !

That's exactly what I would expect Carvill to say.

I don't think you are the ventriloquist so you must be the dummy.

Carvill has taken £2m a year which is good remuneration for driving a great project into the ground. I doubt he's put anything like that into Kenmare. Your suggestion that he has worked 30 years for very little is outrageous and untrue. He's been very well rewarded for failure.

I agree Kenmare will have had a positive impact on that area of Moz but just imagine how much more impact it would have been if it had been an expanding vibrant going concern. Don't expect anyone to believe that Carvill did it all for the benefit of the locals. Nobody could be that gullible.
