This is a solid stock. What is really interesting is that the management of this business have demonstrated over 20 years that they can manage both organic and acquisitive growth on a global scale. They are probably the largest specialist foundation contractor in the world just now, certainly outside of China. Last year saw an operating margin of 3.7% on £1.317Bn T/O. In the good times Keller was able to perform at an operating margin of 10-11%. What is remarkable is that the business has been able to build the top line significantly during a massive recession with forecast T/O for 2013 of circa £1.4Bn (conservative in my view). The key concern has been activity in the EMEA region. However it is clear now that UK construction is beginning to boom and the serious concerns regarding the Euro zone stability has now passed. My guess is that construction in Europe will track what is happening in the UK all be it lagged by six months or so. My view is that this will translate into forecast beating T/O for 2014 e.g. well above £1.6Bn and further margin improvement.
The business is currently in its second year of margin recovery. The future is exciting as the through cycle trend margin was over 6%. This could be achieved in a year or two. It may not be long before this business is reporting eps of £1.

Sold mine now. Great company and a lot of good stuff to come but better bargains in other parts of the market in my opinion.I hope to get the opportunity to buy in again at a lower price.
